  1. The 2024 MLB prospect Rankings that came out recently and have him #80, take into account that he will be out for the 2024 season. If you look at projectability, without taking into account unpredictable injuries, one was on the upward arc the other is on the dark side of the moon.
  2. Blue Jays send Trevor Richards Astros send Spencer Areghetti or Rhret Kouba Reason, both Astros pitchers profile as SPs with Kouba being either an SP or could be used as high K RP in high leverage or long man.
  3. Well, we kinda went through this a few times before, did we not? He was sent down to work on things, had AAA success, came up and sucked. Since the trade, we have not seen any consistent fwd progress. I honestly don’t recall any fwd progress at the MLB level since August of 2022. I guess color me skeptical if after that amount of time there is some magic beans somewhere in the system to make that adjustment in the summer of 2024. Point being- Maybe he will pitch like Cy Young in 2024. However, based on track record, I wouldn’t rely on him or consider him viable SP depth on March 10, 2024.
  4. Simple, Mitch White can’t throw fnn strikes and I watched the games. He sucked. I am not saying Francis is a super duper option either. Just saying he appears the most promising among anyone not named Tiedeman who is a mlb ready option. Let’s face it, the Dodgers bent us over on the Mitch White trade.
  5. Why are people considering White a viable option? At what point had he shown at the MLB level he is? Just because we have a warm body who is stretched out as an SP doesn’t mean we have depth. We have to assume Manoah is not starting the season. Take Tiedimen and make him 5th spot. I see Bowden as only guy with a smidgen of success at the MLB level. The other depth you are talking about have zero MLB innings or track record as far as I am aware and I believe Rodriguez is a pen guy is he not? Are they stretching him out when off IL? The Blue Jays as a Team were waaaaay under average amount of SPs used due to the health and reliability of the big 4. The chances of us having that luck with the age group we have is not good. I just see teams like the Reds who have Nick Martinez and there might not be a spot for him on the starting 5. Same goes for Detroit where if Gipson/Long wasn’t on the IL there wouldn’t be a spot for him. No spots for Faedo, Wentz or Brieske among others. Sanchez on Philly is not assured a 5th spot. Assad and or Wicks might not even get a 5th spot with the Cubs, Zerpa with KC, Vasquez is San Diego.. Just some examples. Assuming Manoha is out I see Francis as the only MLB proven depth piece not in the rotation.
  6. I wasn't liking or commenting on definitive roster determination. I just don’t agree we have seen enough or there is a track record of enough of anything yet to state our pitching depth is looking good. I have zero faith in Mitch White. Even if Bowden looks good, that might be one assuming Tiedmen take the 5th spot or vice versa. Remember, we still have a 5th spot we need to fill. Maybe two spots depending on injury or suckage. Having one realistic possibility is not really depth IMO.
  7. Rays suffer a blow already. DeLuca out min 4-6 weeks with a broken hand. One of my Fantasy teams take a hit also since I was hoping he would be my CF depth..
  8. I am not “anti Laika” at all. That has nothing to do with it. It is also a rare occasion where I hit the “like” button on a Connor post. I just so happen to think Connor is accurate in his assessment in this particular case, reference to the Team’s pitching depth.
  9. Important part of this for context, is not San Fran for geography as much as a reunion with Bob Melvin. Chapman probably thinks he doesn’t have to cuss at Melvin since he will pitch around Ohtani.
  10. You can't say the two R words around here without getting kickback. Re#$rd and Regression.
  11. I know it is only spring training. But please rock that little s*** Stroman today and every-time we face him subsequently.
  12. If you like a man with girth over length, call me.
  13. Plus he is Canadian eh. He would probably pull the guy’s jersey over his head and give him the old Loonie, Twonny uppercut while taking brief breaks for poutine.
  14. Not really apples and apples. Two different sports. That is like saying since Phoenix can’t support an NHL team what makes you think they could support an NFL team. I know I have never paid to go to a pro basketball game in my life. I sure have paid for or gone to a s*** ton of baseball games.
  15. Supposedly Jordan Montgomery has stopped following the Rangers on IG and has started following the Dodgers…..
  16. Isn’t the Asian community in Vancouver primarily Chinese (mainland & Hong Kong) though? Not Japanese or Taiwanese? Regardless, I think Vancouver would be better than Montreal.
  17. Where are you getting that San Fran is Chapman’s hometown?
  18. How the hell is French Soup going to build his Fantasy team and fill the Blue Jays 3b hole now!!??
  19. Belinger has a lot of scary numbers under the hood and a poor track record with only one good year. The Dodgers did NOT want Belinger and if they did, they would have got him. The Jays did well by staying away from Belinger also.
  20. That tracks with the opinion he wasn't coming back and the Jays knew it from the y get go.
  21. I’l buy that for a dollar.
  22. The Dodgers didn’t want Bellinger. So no.
  23. Even with all the tech issues, Fantrax is waaaay better than Yahoo. Fantrax needs to learn from the line in the Social Network, when Zuckerburg says, we can never let our servers go down!
