  1. I have 1.2 in a league.. It will def net me either Langford or Yamomoto. I think the 1.1 is going to pick Yamomoto, but not sure.. I know he wants Langford, but doesn't want to let Yamomoto fall.. I have received a number of solid offers for 1.2. What do y'all think of this one- Adael Amador Taj Bradley Sal Frelick for pick 1.2
  2. Where does it say his age at the time? I looked at the X and didn't see it?
  3. Hader is a bit of a Diva and only likes pitching the 9th with no one on base. He really dislikes and is opposed to coming in, in the 8th or to get 4 outs with runners on base in the 8th...
  4. I was really hoping the Yankees would tell Stroman to pound sand. It pisses me off that they signed him. I was really hoping Stroman would need to play in Kansas city or Oakland LOL. The silver lining to this is that it will renew my hatred of the Yankees. The rivalry has been so much less intense since the days of Arod etc. The Yankees have actually been some decent dudes the past few years. Now, I will want the Jays to destroy the Yankees with a renewed intensity especially when Stroman is pitching.
  5. I meant to post this the other day, but was busy. I do think this is a great pick-up by the Cubs. Wish we could have pulled that off. Who of our prospects would have been the equivalent to what the Cubs sent if we tried to get him??
  6. Shots fired....... From Yanksgoyard.com When Isiah Kiner-Falefa departed the New York Yankees last week for the Toronto Blue Jays, he was bid a proper farewell accompanied by a sigh of relief. Did IKF deserve better in the Bronx? Absolutely. Did he need to overstay his welcome beyond 2023? Absolutely not. Yankees fans feared Brian Cashman and the front office would bring him back, keep him in the same role where he was largely uncomfortable, and not make the necessary changes to elevate a middling roster. Thankfully, Toronto paid $15 million for IKF in hopes of using him in a utility role to ostensibly replace free agent Whit Merrifield. If they deploy him correctly, it could be a useful addition. But even then ... IKF is decidedly below average, for as much as we appreciate his effort and dedication. That's just what the stats say. It was obvious why IKF left. Though he always dreamed of being a Yankee, the fit wasn't right, and he was never going to get paid that kind of money to stay with the team. The 28-year-old needs to maximize his paydays, because he hasn't exactly flaunted his maximum value the last few years. But we can confidently say he didn't leave the Yankees to join a "winning" environment in Toronto because ... the Blue Jays never win? What was IKF trying to say here? Isiah Kiner-Falefa wasn't sure what to expect in free agency but was pleasantly surprised. "I wasn't really expecting as many teams to call. I was kind of overwhelmed, it made me feel really good," he said. Opted for Blue Jays because they're "a team I knew was ready to win." — Shi Davidi (@ShiDavidi) January 3, 2024 Did Isiah Kiner-Falefa just take a shot at Yankees with Blue Jays comments? The Blue Jays couldn't have been more ready to win these last two years, and all they have to show for it are ... zero playoff wins. They're 0-6 in the postseason dating back to 2017. We understand there's that introductory PR every player attempts to conduct when joining a new team ... but this just isn't it. Because, in a way, though he didn't say it explicitly, it feels like IKF is taking a mini shot at the Yankees, who missed the playoffs this past season and got steamrolled by the Astros in the 2022 ALCS. And for as bad as the Yankees have been, they singlehandedly eliminated Toronto from the playoffs in 2021 and then won the AL East on their home turf and booted the Jays farther down the Wild Card ladder in 2022. The Blue Jays, in fact, might be the least accomplished AL East team in the modern era. And that's saying a lot when you consider how bad the Yankees have been. Toronto's made the playoffs just five times since 1994. They've made it past the Wild Card Round/ALDS twice. They have zero pennants and zero World Series. More from IKF on coming to Toronto: "At the end of the day, it's all about winning for me. I really want to win. I have the most fun when I'm winning. I feel like guys bond more. And I just wanted to be a part of something special." — Shi Davidi (@ShiDavidi) January 3, 2024 Really, it's between them and the Orioles for overall ineptitude The Red Sox, Rays and Yankees lap both of those franchises, and it's not even close.
  7. Yes, no pop up blocking the page when I first go in via mobile. Straight to the site and fast! Thank you ADMIN!!
  8. Is this for the team you are drafting? Or are you saying in a league you are in, the first two SPs taken overall were Sale and Yamomoto? Or are you saying they should be number 1 & 2 SPs ADP in Fantasy drafts?
  9. Every time I try to access the site via mobile I get that full screen pop up add. I always have to hit refresh before I can get to the main board home page.
  10. This has to be French Soup; Or both are frozen in time from 2019 when it comes to tech and good baseball players in the year 2024.
  11. I find it interesting the Jays did not appear to be in the final four of Teo suitors. I wonder if there is something we don’t know with the Jays FO and Teo. Seemed like he made sense at the deadline and they would at least be in on him somewhat if names like Soler and Joc are being bandied about by MLBTR.
  12. Yes, but you also need to learn to adjust. Just like a pitcher needs to adjust if he is not getting the call on the corner or low strikes etc. Biggio has been here a while now and MLB umps are supposed to be better than MILB umps. Regardless, Biggio can’t hit the high fastball. The league knows it and it was painfully obvious against the Twins in the WC games.
  13. Dodger’s fans think he was using “shipped out” in a broad term as in no longer there. Manny Machado was one name, out of 4-5 I saw that people were speculating.
  14. Max Muncy calling out former Dodgers (no names), who played for themselves and individual numbers and not the Team. “Who have since been shipped out.”
  15. The irony is, if we really would have signed Ohtani, none of us would have been able to discuss it, because this board would have literally exploded. The Dodgers are the prime reason this forum still exists every 20 mins in it's feeble form.
  16. He is a self appointed Sheriff. However, he is good at rounding up a posse when needed and the towns folk have been supportive.
  17. He is not a MOD, and that is not a monkey, that is a family member in poor health. What do you have against monkeys anyway?
  18. Barry probably had a little something to help him. Oracle Park is one of the MLB ballparks where left-handed batters are least likely to hit a home run, according to Statcast. "Some who know Ohtani" see that as a problem for the likelihood of the Los Angeles Angels star signing with the Giants in free agency, according to Heyman.
  19. Regardless, the fact he has shown he can hit in a pitcher friendly venue, and is not being propped up by a bunch of band boxes, is a positive metric for me.
  20. Team Soler here. If he can hit like that in Marlin's Park, he can rock the Rogers Center.
  21. It appears that the forum going down is not limited to breaking Ohtani news. The frequency of an error message and not being able to access the forum has gone from breaking Blue Jays news to seemingly run of the mill, and is increasing in frequency. What are the actions items we as members can do to assist in a corrective action for this problem? Thanks
  22. Well I'm an idiot. For some reason when I was looking for LHB for the Jays I thought Haniger was one. Thanks
  23. Oracle park is where left handed hitters go to die. I believe that apart from the staying on the field issues, the M's believe they will be getting a hitter closer to the Haniger they knew when he was a Mariner.
