He was the AFL breakout player of the year. Boone calls him an absolute stud with great bat to ball skills. It is thought that the Yankees were comfortable with shipping Torres out because they thought Durbin could stick at 2b in 2025.

Not passing judgement on this deal. Just stating some facts. Yimi was elite last year as he started throwing harder. However, age plus throwing harder caught up to him, hence the injuries. Now he is a year older. I would view him as BP depth but I wouldn’t put my eggs all in the basket of Yimi being our 8th inning guy for the majority of the season.

Yup. IMO would have been #1 most impactful player on the Blue Jays after Soto, and the Jays aren’t getting Soto.
