  1. Eric Pardinho porn
  2. I wish we could see some footage of him pitching to gauge what he looks like. It’s pretty hard to find, but assuming he does well in AA, it can’t be too long until we see him in the majors. He’s really close for a 2018 draft pick.
  3. If I'm Ross Atkins, I'm creating a powerpoint on Marcus Stroman for the Astros. Their bottom of the rotation is a mess right now. - 88th percentile fastball spin - .192 wOBA on his slider and .209 wOBA on his changeup. Get him to throw his secondaries more and he can be a K machine. - Good career performances against current AL contenders (3.44 ERA against the Red Sox, 3.15 ERA against the Indians). - Key guys like Gerrit Cole, George Springer, Michael Brantley are all going to be free agents after 2020 or before. These next 2 years could be their chance to go all out to get another championship. Convince them Stroman is their guy and hopefully get them to overpay and sell low on Whitley, who likely is not going to actually be contributing to their team until at least 1-2 years since it takes time for young pitchers to adjust to the league.
  4. He's not exactly considered in the elite tier of prospects. He's more of a 55 FV guy with a questionable defensive position, so it may be possible to nab him in a deal for Stroman. Every teams #1 prospect is not created equally.
  5. Not much beyond Bohm, Hasely, and Medina.
  6. I think it was more about getting as much as you can for a 30 year-old declining CF with no consequence on our future competitive team. As much as a trashfire this OF has been, it's still better to see if literally any of the younger OF we did have at the time could end up breaking out with more major league league playing time. Looks a little bad now, but I don't think many people really complained about the Pillar trade at the time. The saved money might've been an added bonus, but I don't think it was the main incentive.
  7. The issue lies more with the fact that (a) position players hold very little value at the trade deadline ( most contenders don’t really need MIF help beyond a bench bat
  8. They ended up giving that $5M to Grichuk this season to front load his deal, so they’re actually not saving anything.
  9. So last time Galvis was traded, the Phillies got the Padres #13 ranked prospect in Enyel De Los Santos. I'd be ecstatic if we could get something similar.
  10. Gabriel Moreno: 2-for-3 with a BB. Now hitting .306/.365/.525, and leads all catchers in A-ball with a 155 wRC+ (min 170 PA). While being the 2nd youngest player A-ball. Miguel Hiraldo (2017 IFA) is actually handling himself pretty well in his first taste of Appy league. .313/.358/.495, 131 wRC+ and keeping that K-rate under control.
  11. Gavin Lux is a monster: 4-for-4 with 2 doubles today and an HR today. He's hitting .532 in 15 games....
  12. Definitely sitting slider there I think
  13. Sale is looking like his old dominant self today.
  14. Au contraire. The Twins have a championship calibre offense right now where most of their players are having career years. It's not often that teams combine to hit to the tune of a 114 wRC+. They've also been starved of a good playoff run since 2002. I think there's a chance they would overpay in the form of a ridiculous prospect package if we can convince them they are a great starter and elite reliever away from being World Series contenders (which they very well might be). Kiriloff + Brusdar is within the realm of possibility if we package Stroman and Giles imo.
  15. I have to say, it’s still a fairly robust farm system despite all the graduations. The scouting and player dev have been excellent under the current regimes watch.

  17. Hand also had 3.5 years of control compared to Giles 1.5. That extra 2 cost controlled years adds a ton of value.
  18. So what’s the consensus on Gurriel in LF? I haven’t been able to watch all the games, but he currently has 1 DRS and 0.2 UZR in the OF. Obviously that arm is fantastic. Have we found 1 of our Of of the future?
  19. Blue Jays Rule 5 legend Glenn Sparkman just pitched a CGSHO against the White Sox
  20. Jonathan Loaisiga has pitched 150 innings in total since 2016 and has not pitched more than 90 innings in a single season. I'd be pretty disappointed if he was the return. The ability to stay healthy comes before the raw talent for me when it comes to starters. Glasnow at the very least was a perennially highly touted prospect. He was viewed in 2015-2016 similar to what we think of Nate Pearson now. Towering hard thrower with very developed secondaries. Frazier I'd be fine with depending on what the second and third pieces are, but I would stay away from Loaisiga.
  21. Clint Frazier + Deivi Garcia for Stroman.
  22. Biggio AB's are so incredibly fun to watch, even when he doesn't get on base. He's a grinder.
  23. Acuna in the 1st half in 2018: .742 OPS
  24. Didn't realize McKinney had a .886 OPS whilst walking as much as striking out in AAA (30 games).
  25. Some Jays prospects movement in the latest Fangraphs rankings: Moved Up Jo Adell, CF, Angels and Bo Bichette, INF, Toronto Blue Jays (60 FV to 65 FV): Both move up due to increased confidence that they’ll be stars, with the ZiPS updates Kiley received for the Trade Value Series also helping. Adell seems fully recovered from a scary ankle and hamstring injury suffered during spring training, and he’s hitting .376/.442/.673 as a 20-year-old at Double-A. Bichette has a 116 wRC+ as a 21-year-old at Triple-A and Toronto seems inclined to leave him at shortstop. Nate Pearson, RHP, Blue Jays (50 FV to 55 FV): Pearson belongs in the same FV tier as Sixto Sanchez as they each have monster stuff, questionable builds, and no track record of pitching for a full season. Gabriel Moreno, C, Blue Jays (40 FV to 40+ FV): We advise that readers take offensive performances at Lansing with a grain of salt, but Moreno is an athletic catcher with plus contact skills and we felt he belonged in the same FV tier as Phillies backstop prospect Rafael Marchan, who has a nearly identical skillset. Moved Down Kevin Smith, SS, Blue Jays (45 FV to 40 FV): We juiced him up last year from 40 to 45 FV when his power and shortstop ability were joined by some contact skills, but that contact ability has regressed in his first taste of Double-A.
