  1. I’m like 90% confident that James Click will go to Boston now
  2. Red Sox have fired Chaim Bloom Wow
  3. Just no luck even when we make good contact.
  4. Woah, Turner has been scorching hot recently. What was looking to be a lost season for him is now actually quite productive. 3.5 WAR, 113 OPS+. He's OPS'ing 1.000+ since August.
  5. We don't have a qualified hitter on the team that has an OPS over .845 Meanwhile, the Braves as a team are OPS'ing .845. They're collectively slugging .500 lmao Just absolutely bonkers lineup. 2019 Astros stick out as the most dominant lineup I've seen in my lifetime, but this Braves team average age is 1 year younger and doing this
  6. One of my favorite prospects in our system. The real exciting thing about Palmegiani is his rapid rate of improvement given how raw he still is. He was playing baseball in Alberta farm towns till the end of high school, after which is transferred to a junior college in the States. So he wasn’t exactly playing great competition even by draft prospect standards, and he’s done nothing short of rake since he joined the Jays org. The physical tools are great, but what’s more exciting is potentially how much better he can become the more he plays, because relative to his peers, he’s still quite raw.
  7. He’s also pretty good at baseball too!
  8. I cannot have ever imagined saying this years ago but I f***ing LOVE Kevin Kiermaier
  9. 2.25 ERA over his last 5 starts
  10. Lol Rangers for really giving up this guy for a past his prime Aroldis Chapman.
  11. One of the better AB’s I’ve seen from Vladdy this year and gave it a ride too.
  12. Might be the most effortless 99 mph I’ve ever seen.
  13. Eric Longenhagen said in the most recent Effectively Wild podcast that Schneider isn’t legit and he’d be surprised if he makes it to 600 career PAs. Pleaded for pitchers to stop throwing him pitches down the middle and said it won’t be long until he gets exposed for not being able to hit a high fastball. Schneider’s homer today was off a high fastball lol.
  14. Bowden Francis has been great this year. That’s probably the best he’s looked.
  15. Glenn Otto DFA’d by the Rangers (was acquired in the Gallo trade). Good slider, meh velocity, but I think there’s something thing there given his youth and minor league track record. Plus he has options remaining. Worth putting a claim or even trading a low level prospect for him tbh.
  16. Kind of surprised they waived Giolito. Gave up decent prospect capital for him and could've recouped some of that value if you QO'd him (although he hasn't been great with the Angels).
  17. Might’ve been the biggest win of the season so far. Let’s sweep em. These f***s have been overachieving all season.
  18. For Korey Lee Seems steep. Lee has good minor league numbers and is probably a decent starting-level catcher at the major league level.
  19. Dodgers get: Lance Lynn, Joe Kelly White Sox get: Nick Nastrini (AA SP), Jordan Leasure (AA RP), Trayce Thompson Nastrini ranked #54 on BP's Top 100 coming into 2023. Has a 4.04 ERA in AA, but some good K-rates. Seems like an overpay on the Dodgers part to get Lynn and his 6.47 ERA (plus big salary). And Joe Kelly has been pretty bad too.
  20. Wonder what the O's are going to do about their starting pitching situation. - Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito traded - Shohei Ohtani isn't moving - Shane Bieber out indefinitely - Stroman, Cease, Snell, unlikely to be dealt. I guess they can look to Jordan Montgomery, Michael Lorenzen, Jack Flaherty, or Miles Mikolas. Maybe Eduardo Rodriguez although his opt-out makes it tough to gather a value on him. Not a great market to be looking for top of the rotation arms.
  21. Lance Lynn & Joe Kelly to the Dodgers
  22. Orioles lose 2 out of 3 to the Phillies.
  23. Davis Schneider hit another homer yesterday. Up to a .941 OPS now with a .400+ OBP and 23% K-Rate. How legit is he?
  24. Our picks from Round 8 onward aren't even ranked on MLB's Top 250 Draft Prospects, so seems like we allocated most of our draft pool to the first 7 picks who are all Top 160-ish players, according to MLB Pipeline. That seems like a great outcome all things considered for where we picked, and missing a 2nd rounder.
  25. We’ve made up 4 games against the Rays the last week. 11 games back to now 7 games back.
