  1. Kapriellian just had TJS, Fowler is out with a season ending injury, Mateo strikes out a ton and he's currently riding a hot streak in AA after struggling in High-A. All 3 have pretty high upside, but still a little puzzling.
  2. Hutch has done more for this team by being traded than playing. Drew Hutchison turned into Liriano, McGuire, Ramirez, Aoki, and Hernandez.
  3. Great read on Chris Rowley: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/big-read-blue-jays-chris-rowley-not-average-mlb-pitching-prospect/
  4. Jon Harris with another awful outing. 4.2IP 7H 7ER 3BB 3K 2 home runs allowed. It's 1 step forward, 2 steps backward with him this season.
  5. Calhoun+ from the Dodgers would be interesting. They probably want a righty however.
  6. If they can get someone to give a good package for 1.5 years of JA Happ, I'm all in on that. It'll hurt us for next season, but this front office is more than competent when it comes to pitching talent that I'm sure they can figure something out.
  7. For those interested, here's the link to watch the 2017 Under Armour All-American Game: https://www.mlb.com/video/under-armour-all-american-game/c-1653235383?tid=244945086 Basically a showcase for top high school prospects. Guys like Royce Lewis, Hunter Greene, Shane Baz, and DL Hall were featured last year.
  8. Speaking of drafted catchers, Hagen Danner is not doing so hot to start off his pro career: .197/.227/.295 with 20K and 1BB in Rookie League.
  9. Ryan Borucki: 7IP 3H 1ER 1BB 7K Bo: 2/5 with a stolen base Vlad: 1/2 with 3 walks Bo shows no signs of slowing down. Vlad is an 18 year old walking as much as he's striking out in a league where the average age is 23. Kids are insane.
  10. Cano still has 6 years of getting paid $24 million after this season. He's been worth it so far, but the back-end of that contract will probably get ugly. That contract looks even worse because of the fact that the Mariners probably could've gotten him significantly cheaper had they not been idiots and bid against themselves. I believe the next best offer Cano had was 7/175 from the Yankees, and the Mariners went up to $240 million for no apparent reason.
  11. Conner Greene: 5 innings pitched. 6 walks.
  12. Vallot is the 14th ranked prospect for the Royals.
  13. He seems to be heating up so hopefully that's the case. I'd rather give him a look than parading Barney/Goins out there everyday at 2nd. Chris Rowley today: 7.2IP 3ER 5H 1BB 3K. I believe all 3 runs also came in 1 home run.
  14. That's probably the biggest thing. It would be a bad look to trade Soler now after the Davis trade. I'm sure they'll give Soler every chance to rebound.
  15. Is Soler officially a bust? His stock is at an all time low. Wonder if we can nab him.
  16. Looks like Liriano is Royals bound. Time to close the book on the Drew Hutchison deal.
  17. This front office turned Drew Hutchison into Liriano (who despite his struggles this season was pretty important for us down the stretch in 2016) and two Top 100 prospects at the time, and now are going to get something else out of him too.
  18. He might. Lourdes went 2/4 with a homer tonight with a stolen base to boot. He's finally heating up after missing a year. I hope they give him a look in September. He's already on the 40-man.
  19. They're more likely to give him a look in the OF than trade him at this point despite his injury. Especially with CarGo becoming a free agent after this season. Opens up a spot for him to play in. Not like Colorado needs a 1B as it is. They already have Reynolds and Desmond and McMahon is in the pipeline just waiting to be called up. He's crushing AAA.
  20. Competing or not, I do think they do want to shed salary though. And there are rumors floating around that they're taking calls on him.
  21. I wonder if Jeff Samardzija is a trade option that this front office would consider. I think he would make a fine 4th starter for next season and beyond. He has a 5 ERA right now, but his FIP is 3.59. He's also coming off a 2.8 WAR season. The thing I like about Samardzija is that he's an absolute workhorse and dependable. He'll give you at least 30 starts a year. Shouldn't cost too much prospect wise assuming we take on the majority of salary. He's clearly not worth $20 million, but if we can get him for ~$15-16 million, that's not a bad deal. With Sanchez a question mark with his blister issues and Happ having an elbow injury scare earlier this season, having a starter that you know will 32 starts is pretty valuable.
  22. Osuna has already matched his 2016 season bWAR (2.1 WAR) in 34 less innings. Threw 74 innings in 2016. Right now he's at 40. Insane.
  23. Baseball America Blue Jays Midseason Top 10 1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 3B 2. Bo Bichette, SS 3. Anthony Alford, OF 4. Lourdes Gurriel, SS 5. Max Pentecost, C/1B 6. Conner Greene, RHP 7. Justin Maese, RHP 8. Sean Reid-Foley, RHP 9. T.J. Zeuch, RHP 10. Logan Warmoth, SS Link: http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2017-toronto-blue-jays-midseason-top-10-prospects/#OFOZjFXZfppXqsb5.97 Would someone mind posting the whole article?
