  1. Bassitt has been positively awful to start the season with the Orioles. I think that the timing was right to move on from him as the team pursued higher upside options for the rotation.
  2. Sadly Barger and Lukes have been worse offensively than this.
  3. And you seem like the type of guy who wouldn't be able to figure out how to get the gas into the gas tank on your car.
  4. Are you a child who is completely incapable of emotional regulation? Despite the uneven start the Blue Jays are presently 4-3 after 7 games. The season is far from over, there is still nearly 96% remaining. Being an overly emotional idiot doesn't make you "hardcore", it just makes you an overly emotional idiot. And now you are trying to make the point that other organizations have had more success than the Blue Jays because the Blue Jays don't have enough fans with little to no emotional regulation and the complete lack of understanding that it's poor form to act like a season is doomed after 7 games.
  5. That's cool you have another over-reactionary/limited knowledge poster to hold hands with. The issue people take with you is the repeated series of sky is falling garbage that you feel the need to spew onto the page every time the team struggles, no matter how short the period of struggles actually is. You are making long term/162 game determinations based on a literal week worth of games. Are you seriously so dense that you can't understand that this is nothing to do with some kind of conformity and everything to do with outright panic posts based on the whopping sample size of 4.3% of the season?
  6. I think I should do myself a favor and just place you on the ignore list like the rest of the mouthbreathers who have very limited baseball knowledge. Who are the washed up players the team signed now? All of Cease, Rogers and Okamoto have performed very well up to this point, and Ponce was flashing very good stuff prior to the unfortunate injury. They also have Bieber waiting in the wings once he's built up, but of course according to you we should expect nothing out of him despite the fact he performed very well last season coming out of Tommy John surgery.
  7. The guy has the emotional intelligence of a toddler, but that might actually be insulting to toddlers.
  8. Yeah obviously replacing Bo with Okamoto was guaranteed to change the Blue Jays offense from the best in MLB to a below average group. Do you ever take a moment to think before you post this garbage? And you are also saying that the closer who presently sports a 1.93 ERA/1.22 FIP with 21.2 K/9 is a massive weakness? Today's game is anyone but Hoffman's fault as the third out was thrown away by the catcher.
  9. WTF are you ready to jump off of a cliff after a week's worth of baseball games? Grow a set of balls for crying out loud, this is becoming absurd even based on the extremely low set of standards you've set for your posts. Maybe we could wait even a month or two before pressing the panic button as at that point we'll actually have a more representative sample of games to gauge the team's strengths and weaknesses.
  10. That's cool, you should just go ahead and delete your account now.
  11. I think Bo has more than enough arm strength to man third base. I believe his issues throwing stemmed more from a lack of accuracy although I think he was largely cleaning this up in recent seasons.
  12. Some of us aren't able to watch the game live as it happens all of the time so some comments tend to filter in afterwards. If you don't want to be called out for making ridiculously over the top sky is falling posts on the first day of April then don't make ridiculously over the top sky is falling comments on the first day of April.
  13. I don't think he was able to be optioned to AAA without the DFA so it wasn't quite the same situation. I won't be surprised if we see him called up at some point this season in a depth situation.
  14. I think it's a bit of column A and a bit of column B. He's had pretty rough luck on batted balls early on in both of these outings but he's also been awful and unable to stem the bleeding when things started to go off of the rails.
  15. That home run was one where I give a ton of the credit to the hitter for hitting a good pitch vs blaming the pitcher.
  16. Nice outing for Hoffman. He's struck out 6 hitters in his first two innings and his stuff looks very good to start the season.
  17. It looks like he's added velo to his cutter. I'm curious to see how the changeup plays against right handed bats.
  18. He was a very pleasant surprise in the pen last season and appears to be picking up where he left off.
  19. Lauer was fantastic today. I'll take that kind of start all day everyday from a swingman type.
  20. There's 0% chance of that being allowed to happen in his first start of the season.
  21. Okamoto looks super legit so far on both sides of the field. I was expecting a bit of an adjustment period but he's been fantastic so far.
  22. Lauer is continuing the absolute dominance displayed by the Jays rotation against A's hitters.
