    I think Vlad is dealing with a hand or wrist issue presently. In recent games his top hand is flying off of the bat on his follow through and I wouldn't be surprised if the chronic wrist issue is causing him grief presently.

    Neither of those guys would have helped the Blue Jays in the 2021-2025 seasons in which Berrios provided 8 wins above replacement. He was an important member of the rotation for most of his time as a Blue Jay and neither of Martin or SWR would have been very important parts of that window of contention.

    It's surprising how his season has unfolded as he's transitioned well enough to third base but hasn't been producing at all with the bat.

    Yeah I could see that argument for historical purposes. Wins are slowly becoming irrelevant in terms of hall of fame voting and will become less and less important over time so we shall see how the statistic eventually evolves to reflect the changing landscape.

    I'm at the point where I would completely eliminate the concept of pitcher wins as there's far too much that's completely out of the pitcher's control. Great pitchers on bad teams often don't accumulate many wins due to factors such as lack of run support/bad defense etc., and crappy pitchers on good teams can pile up wins by simply pitching 5 innings at a time despite pitching very poorly. Using a win as a barometer of literally anything other than a team victory is something that should be let out to pasture.

    I think it's imperative the Popkins and co. assist the existing players in unlocking some power. Too damn much of the lineup has been slumping at the same time for essentially the entire season and until this starts to reverse this team will continue to struggle consistently scoring runs.

    I think it's a combination of factors with Yariel. I don't believe he has starter level of command and his stuff was regressing very badly in the second half of last season in a shorter burst role and I suspect this would have been more severe if he were starting.

    I think this is a new candidate for the board's worst poster of all time award. I don't think S_B_C was nearly as toxic and was more of an ordinary level of bad poster.

    I recall that the Angels hands were largely tied in terms of trading Ohtani due to the marketing agreements that they had in place.

    Yeah I believe the 90 days stipulation is only applied in cases of injury, and if I recall correctly it can happen over the course of two full calendar seasons post draft.

    I don't think this is correct. I believe that the player can be optioned in the following season after spending a minimum of 90 days on the active roster in the first season post draft.     Nance is another guy that doesn't deserve to be going anywhere. He had a single really tough outing against the Dodgers where he allowed 4 ER, which is half of the total that he's allowed for the entirety of the season. He's on a nice little run of success of 7-1/3 scoreless innings backed up by a 0.81 FIP over the same stretch. He's far from being a bullpen saviour but he's been doing a fine job in a lower leverage type of role and has been a key member of the pen in recent weeks.

    Sigh this is what I get for trying to engage with you in honest discussion. I should probably just add you back to my ignore list as you have zero social skills or ability to connect with others, are unable to engage in earnest discussion without creating fake arguments or exaggerating opposing views, are completely unaware of your basic failings to the point that you think you are winning arguments that should be embarrassing you etc. There have been some really awful posters on this board including one who revealed he was a diagnosed psychopath but never have I encountered as flawed a poster as you are repeatedly presenting yourself to be.

    Perhaps someone like Mantiply could be optioned down to AAA although he's far from deserving of this as he's pitched quite well.

It appears as though you need to work on your vocabulary on top of your social skills as you are lacking knowledge of some very basic terms. I didn't learn the term from AI, but I'll do some AI copy/pasta for you so that you can learn what a strawman argument is. Don't try to pretend that this isn't what you do as this perfectly encapsulates your posting style and is present in literally every single reply that you make towards others.

    I see you haven't moved away from the exaggeration and strawman arguments. Literally nobody said that winning 2 of 3 games was unbelievable but it's outright dooming to suggest that's not a positive result.

The team literally took two steps forward and one step back based on the Angels series wins and losses. I am going against my instincts and removed you from my ignore list for now to see if you are capable of rational discussion after getting some practice.

    Hopefully Barger doesn't need to hit the injured list, but if he does then Pinango will be eligible to come up right away to take his place on the roster.

    Also the top of the lineup for the Angels is right dominant and this is a poor matchup for Lauer. I did have a glance at Lauer's splits and he's been torched by left handed hitters so we shall see how the game unfolds. I recall an interesting tidbit from a recent broadcast where it was mentioned that Lauer was going to throw a velocity bullpen in an attempt to coax out a little more velo.
