  1. This feels a bit like the Mariners series where you could see the massive gulf defensively between Kirk and the opposition catchers.
  2. If this were a Hollywood movie it would be mocked as being completely unbelievable.
  3. Between Vlad’s post season for the ages and Yesavage’s historic rookie performance to Ernie’s hit parade and Kirk with the catcher home run record this team has had an amazing post season.
  4. Yeah he’s been fantastic. There have been a few borderline calls he didn’t call but that’s it.
  5. Get ready for a dominant shutdown performance? Outside of his first appearance against the Yankees he’s been pretty much perfect.
  6. I just caught up to the game as I started late so I just joins the thread. Read the room for once, nobody likes IKF so give it a rest instead of picking phantom fights.
  7. That's an interesting tidbit for certain but I don't think it would have changed much with regards to splitter usage if Yesavage was getting ahead in the count as he had little to no command of the pitch.
  8. I was impressed at how Yesavage was able to battle despite having very little feel for his splitter. The Dodgers haven't had to face the best version of Yesavage yet and Trey has bounced back very nicely from his weaker starts so I expect he should be much more effective tonight.
  9. I don't think anyone takes issue with valid criticism, but it's just par for the course for a ton of posters here to go completely overboard. Like taking out a 36 year old reliever pitching in back to back games for the first time in his career to save some bullets for later means that the team won in spite of the manager despite every move up to that point working out very well. I don't like seeing Varland pitching so often either, but these decisions don't happen in a vacuum by the manager alone without consulting the pitching coaches, high performance department, the pitchers themselves, front office etc.
  10. We shall see. Bassitt is a 36 year old starter who just appeared in back to back games for the first time in his career so it might be a tall order expecting him to pitch 3 days in a row.
  11. There was a 3 way conversation between Bassitt, Schneider and Walker before the move was made. The team used one of their trusted relievers in a World Series game to close it out, there’s nothing ridiculous about it.
  12. What was so bad about how Schneider managed the game that the team won in spite of him? This is just nonsense criticism.
  13. How do you figure? The lineup produced very well and the pitching moves generally worked out nicely as well. The starters were largely left in for the entire game as well.
  14. The Jays just put a bit of a beating on the Dodgers and Ohtani but based on the neurotic tone of some of the posts you’d think the score was reversed.
  15. Yeah the bum is only about to have his team tie the Dodgers at 2 games a piece in the World Series.
