  1. Really f*** with them by going to Pete Fairbanks after
  2. Never disrespect todd like that. A Board Legend.
  3. I don’t question him being good. He’s very good. He’s also 35 and doesn’t miss bats at the rate of other elite options. I don’t think it will be a bad deal for the Braves. At 45M over 3 years I would prefer our resources get invested elsewhere. I feel like you could bring in 2 quality relievers for under 15 combined.
  4. Only concerns I have with Yimi is health. He seems to take a couple trips to the IL every year. Now that the Bullpen actually has some decent depth they shouldn’t push him at all this Season. No back to back outings. Limit him to 3 times per week. Whatever keeps him healthier because he’s quite good when he is.
  5. If other teams want to do thar more power to them. I’n glad our front office doesn’t get in on that market. Unless it’s for someone truly elite it’s a big risk. Such a volatile position.
  6. A Rogers and Fairbanks combo could be intriguing. Probably come in less combined than Suarez as well AAV. Talk about 2 pitchers that come from dramatically different arm angles.
  7. Really glad the Jays passed on Suarez at the number. There’s like 3 relievers in Baseball that deserve to make 15+ million a year and he’s not one of them. If you’re not Josh Hader, Edwin Diaz, or Mason Miller you’re not worth that money.
  8. Today would be a great day to make Kyle Tucker a Blue Jay.
  9. In my opinion you guys are the ones making a huge fuss. I just said he would look get in a Mets uniform! I will stand by that. I would rather they play Lukes over him.
  10. Everyone wanted Springer gone lol. Even our media wanted him released in Spring. What he did last Season was incredible. And credit to him for the work he put in and not abandoning that plan when he didn’t get results during Spring. Moving Santander hinges more on if they sign Tucker. Where does he play if RF and DH is occupied. Do they put him in LF or would they rather play Lukes and Scheneider. It’s just something to think about. He would be an expensive bench bat.
  11. I never wanted Varsho gone for nothing. He was still cheap with team control. Anthony Santander is in a completely different situation. Most teams would probably view him as a negative value player due to his contract.
  12. It’s been a long time actually. And the thing about Varsho he adds value in multiple areas of the game. Yes he’s frustrating at the plate. But often makes it up with his glove. Anthony Santander is as one dimensional as they come. Please stop glazing a 1 WAR player or ever compare him to a player that put up 3 WAR in his sleep.
  13. Sometimes cope is all you have Spanky. Just saying Santander would be nice pivot option for the Mets. Maybe get in on the Berrios business as well. Jays send them a nice fat cheque and we call it a day.
  14. I was. I would have loved to have Schwarber on this team. Although I would prefer Tucker now because I didn’t think he would be an option. Either way I don’t like the comparison Schwarber is a much much better hitter than Santander. And it’s because he does 2 things at an elite level. Hit Homeruns and get on base. And he does it consistently every year. Santander has had a couple elite homerun hitting Seasons but he does nothing else well. So yes pushing Springer into the OF for him more would have been fine. But Tucker would be ideal.
  15. That’s not very nice!
  16. He's warming up right now btw.
  17. Ever heard of addition by subtraction? I genuinely feel the Blue Jays are a better Baseball team if Santander is not playing the OF. Your point about Lukes and Davis not being able to duplicate their successes from this past Season are valid. But both are projected to out perform Santander this coming Season. And that's without a platoon or ideal matchups. It's something to consider if given the opportunity. Santander is projected for like 1 WAR by Steamer right now. That's really a bat we want to squeeze in the lineup to make our OF defense worse? Was one of the strengths of the team last year.
  18. Lets see if they are. I don't think many people had them spending $300+ million this off-season. I would be personally shocked if they gave another monster deal.
  19. Bro you're going to be stoked if they sign Kyle Tucker don't lie.
  20. One thing I don't understand about the Orioles is why didn't use that $155 million on a front end starter like Framber Valdez. The one thing they had was bats. Some of them coming off a down Season but they also had some injuries. I think they have very dangerous core of bats that looks absurd now. I just don't know how they continue to not add what they really need. And maybe they have another $150 million to give someone. I'm not sure yet. They would be taking a massive leap in salary which is something they have never done. And they are going to have to start re-signing some of those young core pieces in the coming years. Happy for Pete Alonzo finally getting his bag though. Dude just produces consistently. Mets f***ed around and found out. And yea and its a lot of money but damn that's a consistent bat in your Lineup.
  21. I'm on board with trading any of those guys. I don't know if you need a valuable return for him. I think you just need him gone. I would rather have another bat plug in where he would prodimentaly play and run with better defenders in LF. Sometimes you sign guys and it doesn't work out. Were in a championship window we can't afford to wait another year hoping he's going to be the guy he was in Baltimore because he doesn't do anything else well. If he's not hitting Homeruns he's a negative asset.
  22. You would really rather have Bo over Tucker? What about the potential of both? I just don't see an obvious fit for Santander on the roster anymore. Regardless of where you put him you're making somewhere else worse. Lets say they decide they want to DH him. That pushes Springer back into the OF. Lets say they want him to play RF or LF everyday you're making your OF defense substantially worse. Obviously he's probably going to play RF Everyday if they don't sign Tucker. But lets hope they sign Tucker because that's a franchise changing talent.
  23. My question to you is what do you think generates more WAR. A full season of Santander in LF or a full season platoon of Lukes and Davis?
  24. Sign Tucker. Let Springer DH You got Varsho in CF And you got Lukes and Davis platooning in LF Even Barger can play some RF still. Mostly you get Anthony Santander off our Baseball team. Thats why.
