    It felt like win. Losses like last night can derail a team and start losing streaks. It's not fun watching your high priced closer get his s*** kicked in.

    Hoffman line looked much worse than he actually looked. Just some bad circumstances leading to a mistake pitch that inflated everything. Obviously you can’t walk Jankowski but I don’t feel overly concerned with him. His ERA is inflated for the rest of the year but I feel confident he’s going to be very good way more often than not. Just sucks to lose that game after Varsho took the lead.

    Cool bro. I didn’t get watch Friday’s game. The box score reads he threw an inning. Struck out 3 and didn’t allow a hit or walk. No hit batter but he had a WP. So only thing I can think of is he allowed someone to reach base on a WP strike 3. Is that what happened?

    That post was about the economy. But I will gladly stick to Baseball. The building was electric and my main point was to highlight the Canadians crossing the border to make it that fun. It was beautiful.

    Have you read Twitter? It’s embarrassing. Look at Dan Shulman’s tweets alone. My Dad literally showed me a video clip of them saying Canadians should stay home this weekend.

    No threats actually have ever been made… only humour. Wording is important. And certain media outlets like too twist them to build narratives. Trump isn’t going to invade or take over Canada. He just wants Canada to join the US willingly lol. The fear mongering is insane. This isn’t a political post. I’m just proud of the Canadians who crossed that border and had fun tonight despite being openly criticized for doing so. You can’t be mad at America because they want to make their own stuff. Canada’s problems are completely self inflicted and the people who fail to understand that are part of the problem.

    Hoffman has faced 6 batters in thiis series and has struck out all of them. Whatever happened in Anaheim we will try to forget.

    Team is showing some life. Fun still seeing so many Canadian fans making the trip. Canadian media has been doing overtime trying to demonize America. Going as far as criticizing fellow Canadians who choose to come here. Meanwhile the reality is Americans still very much want Canadians here. I get treated very well whenever anyone finds out I am Canadian by Americans. It was this Government who drove me here to begin with. The company I work for relocated were all Canadian down here.

    If you want to argue they didn’t go after the right players or pieces that’s one thing. But to suggest they weren’t willing to to spend money on legit help as your post suggested is absurd. I wasn’t really a big fan of the Santander signing but understand they needed to do something to address Power. Signing Max to a one-year deal was never going to hurt anything they did. They needed to do more but money wasn’t the issue in this scenario.

    Where did they shop from the bargain bin lol. They signed legit players this off-season. Between the Bullpen additions of Hoffman and Garcia. To adding Santander and going after some of the biggest names in Free Agency this is such a stupid take. The Pirates go shopping in the bargain bin. Just idiotic. They even gave Max 15 million to be the 5th Starter lol.
