  1. LMAO nice, well done!
  2. Not a horror movie buff I see? My gf loves them, and I've become a fan by association. I just can't stand the ones with clowns or dolls. Those things freak me right out.
  3. Christmas Carol is not bad, the ghoulish practical effects on Marley still give me chills, despite the age of the film lol.
  4. My go to flicks for the season are usually Christmas Vacation, Jingle all the Way, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Bad Santa, Home Alone 1 and 2, Nightmare before Christmas, Die Hard, and finally Gremlins . Krampus may join that list, if it's good, when I see it Saturday!
  5. Lol oh yes, tis the season after all. I'm watching Pirates 2 on Bravo right now, which fits with our off-season search for buried treasure.
  6. That would be fantastic Spanks! I'd love to poach May if Minni is silly enough to trade him. He seems to be undervalued by them so I'm curious what he would cost us? Do they have a need in the outfield? http://i.imgur.com/7KU7Fqx.png I wonder if we could sign Oh for cheap? He doesn't seem to be on many teams radars, at least from what I've read thus far.
  7. Overall, yes, but Delgado had 2 seasons almost identical to one another which paints a bit clearer picture. He's also only 26. Hochevar is 32 and already lst 1 mph of his pitches after coming off TJS. Maybe you can contribute it to a temporary weakening from the TJS, but maybe it doesn't return next season, and only drops due to his age? I just find Delgado a lot more projectable at this pint. Quite possible, but, at his age, who says he returns to his 2013 form?
  8. I'm arguing that the volatility is drastic compared to someone like Delgado, who's both younger and had 2 very similar seasons in relief. The volatility was minimal in his case when it wasn't for Hochevar. I apologise if my point wasn't clear enough. I'd rather pay for the least amount of volatility we can get. Consistency is difficult to achieve in the BP but it does exist.
  9. In the sample size sense, sure, but using 2 seasons, where one was league average over 50 relief IP, isn't the greatest projection model to use. It's tough to predict what we could get in 2016, especially given his age. At least if we could pouch a younger talent like Delgado (which shouldn't be too difficult given their GM and needs), we could take the age regression out of the discussion for now, and his peripherals look a bit more consistent over his 2 relief seasons.
  10. There's not enough there to project him fairly as a reliever, it's 2 seasons. 1 was spectacular, the other was very average. He's basically Steve Delabar after 2014.
  11. Merry Christmas everyone!! All gifts are wrapped, time to relax!
  12. He's still 32, and I didn't love what he did over 50 IP this past season. Those stats above are skewed to his amazing 2013, but that's only 1 season so there isn't much for projection there. He's no better than Delabar really. I'd rather try and convince Stewart to give us Delgado, or try and poach Storen from the Nats. The former is just 25 and looks more projectable. The latter is 28, a bit more expensive, but much more dependable. Certainly, but I'd rather go after someone younger and more projectable for that, like Randall Delgado. Then sign Blanton and Oh.
  13. Hell no. A 32 year old career 4.32 FIP reliever who's only had one great MLB season and is coming off a 0.1 WAR season in 50 IP, is not a sufficient return for Ben Revere.
  14. 2B Devon Travis 3B Josh Donaldson RF Jose Bautista DH Edwin Encarnacion SS Troy Tulowitski 1B Chris Colabello/Justin Smoak C Russ Martin CF Kevin Pillar LF Dalton Pompey That's my pick, assuming that Bautista would refuse to move to 1st in 2016 and that Revere is traded for a BP piece.
  15. Awesome. She's pretty cute as well. http://l2.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/K36r5nlDw7DD3oKPfoDKdA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3NfbGVnbztxPTg1O3c9MzIw/http://l.yimg.com/os/publish-images/sports/2015-12-08/821570e0-9e00-11e5-96ed-8f880f934e11_AHopkins.jpg http://www.gnacsports.com/media/Softball/2015-16/cwu-amanda-hopkins-2015.jpg
  16. Yes but he's probing him like a casual fan would. Yep, pretty clownish.
  17. McCown grilling Beeston, embarrassing himself in the process.
  18. Smoltz is pretty dumb but anyone is better than Reynolds
  19. I wouldn't. The floors are similar but the ceilings and value lie with our 3. Leake over Dickey without contracts in the reasoning though.
  20. Just wondering if the full BA Blue Jays Top 10 write-up was posted in here?
  21. I've felt bad for Arash in that roundtable. It seems he's the only sensible one, arguing with a table of buffoons. When Bob was arguing that Shapiro never won anything in Cleveland, Arash called him on it and sited that Cleveland has been to the playoffs under Shapiro's watch with that low payroll. Bob argued that it's only been once, and Arash countered with, "how many times has Alex got the Jays to the playoffs, with this payroll?". Bob then changed the subject..
  22. Seconded, I'd love to read the write-ups on Greene and Vlad specifically.
  23. To be honest, Hutch threw most of his fastballs centre-cut belt high, those are, generally, the easiest pitches to barrel up and scorch for a line drive/deep fly ball. The problem is he doesn't have a high spin rate on the pitch to stop batters from squaring up, like Estrada does. When Hutch was successful he kept his fastball, predominately, at the knees, except for the odd top of the zone pitch to change the eye level. His slider's Sw-Str % dropped as well because he couldn't command the bottom corners like in the past, and hitters would lay off it. I watched every Hutch start and it was obvious that it wasn't just bad luck, like it was with Loup.
  24. It seems his velocity was the same as 2014 with an average velo of 93 and topping out at 99. It seems he can still rear back at pop the glove, but may not ever average +95 again. Let's hope he's managed to halt the regression for a few more years.
