    Bastardo (316 ML IP): 11.04 K/9, 3.33 FIP, 3.87 xFIP Delabar (186 ML IP): 11.19 K/9, 4.02 FIP, 3.75 xFIP Loup (211 ML IP): 7.51 K/9, 3.36 FIP, 3.40 xFIP They're definitely similar but Bastardo has been good for longer than Loup or Delabar. You could always use the Bastardo money on Morrow (pending he agrees to be in the BP)?

    Amen. Why not trade Revere for a cheap and effective reliever like Randall Delgado, and allocate those resources to sign Joe Blanton. Then just sign Antonio Bastardo, and you have a good bullpen, and can afford for Sanchez and Osuna to be in AAA as starters. I would be fine with this bullpen until August when Osuna and Sanchez come up to bolster things. This looks fine to me.     There's nothing particularly wrong with that. Our team is already great and has a much better rotation than the 1st half of last season, and project to have a better offense if Tulo and Travis stay healthy for the entire year. We could afford to trade Revere or Pillar if the return is good, but I don't see Pompey getting shipped.

    Hmm I wonder what he would fetch on the market? He has better peripherals than Shelby Miller, but doesn't have the same results yet. I guess the real question is, can we fool Dave Stewart into buying in, or will dat ERA scare him off.

    Are you seriously saying this after what we just witnessed? This isn't a one-time mind-lapse, he has a track record of making s***** decisions. He would probably value Revere, with his AVG and Speed, the way analytical minds would value a 5 WAR player. We could probably rape them some more in a Revere trade. If we throw in Sanchez, a "tall fireballer with movement", who knows what it could yield.

    Fair enough. What happens if he has a poor 2016/gets injured? Do you think that would lower his value enough for Shapiro/Atkins to take a shot at him? Is he worth it at 120-150M for instance?

    They actually would make suitable trade partners for Revere, now that you mention it. I wonder what he would fetch given Stewart, gives zero f***s about prospects and, would love dat AVG and Speed.

    Off-topic but do you guys think Strasburg in the 2016 off-season would be the type of pitcher (given his age and talent) that Shapiro/Atkins would deem worry of shelling 200M+ for?

    We may deal for relievers by shopping around Revere and Colabello, but I don't see anything beyond that.

    If it were that simple, I would trade EE+ to the Cards for Carlos Martinez, though I think the "+" would have to be a lot.

    I'd prefer to keep Stroman, but I'd gladly give him up for 3 years of Fernandez, straight up.

    Yuk.. That's a steep but fair price. I'd balk at giving up all of that though.
