Thanks man, I do remember that. I'm not placing any stock into the spring so far, but it's just kind of interesting to me. You may be right, he could be trying something out.
Great point! Let's hope it is still a work in progress and some changes will be made. An 8-10 mph difference is definitely ideal for change-up. If Sanchez were throwing 98-100 like Thor than he could live with a 90mph change, but he can't do it throwing 94-97.
Hmmm will do. Interestingly he just got a swinging strike on the new change-up. That said it was 91mph LOL, so it could use some work, maybe a better grip.
I saw 2 pitches there early in the count that he took, where last year he definitely would have swung at. It's early, obviously, but it's still worth noting.
Penny looking good so far. Locating that fastball real low in the zone. He might have been robbed of a K there, but gets it anyway with a great change-up.
