    Bye bye pinky finger. Don't tell me you're not getting the feeling that this team is running out of steam. Might not have enough to make it into the station if you know what I mean.

    Well, Fluharty was getting it done because the league wasn't used to him yet. They figured him out a bit. Little was getting it done because they were swinging at horrible pitches in the dirt. Those that didn't have blinders on knew this wouldn't last. Hoffman has been giving up home runs all year. Varland didn't have enough of a track record yet. Dominguez is the right-handed Little. Yariel was never as good as his ERA indicated and his velocity has fallen off. So yeah, there you go.

    Their lineup is terrifying right now. Stanton really put them over the top in terms of being totally unfair.

    Not only do we have to find a way to score at least six runs, we have to find a way to keep them from scoring more. Not liking those odds lol

    It's been obvious for a while that Yimi was not progressing and my expectation was pretty much zero that he was going to return this year anyway so hopefully this fixes the issue for him. Santander is where I was holding out some hope so this is encouraging.

    Best record in baseball and among the most talented. I still think a healthy Dodgers team is better, but they are tough. They score runs and they pitch exceptionally well. We score runs but we don't pitch so well. We need the best of Bieber tonight and we need him to go deep.

    I've been trying to hold on to hope for him as much as anybody but so far I see no reason to get excited about him.

    I don't know if this has been discussed much but the re-emergence of Stanton as a seriously legit hitter, ignoring how completely illegitimate he is as a defender, is a terrifying development for the rest of the American League. Judge, Bellinger and Stanton, flanked by a bunch of 20 home run hitters is going to be hell for pitchers to navigate four times a game. People love to make fun of the Yankees but that lineup can overcome a lot of flaws and mistakes while storming their way through the playoffs.

    You need people like me so you can point your f***ing fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what's that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy!

    I really want him back, but I do have the same concern that while we're giving him rope to get into a groove we're taking someone out of the lineup that may be more effective in the short term. It's tough enough to find playing time for everybody. I think Davis Schneider should be an everyday player but even that's hard to accommodate right now. I think it's a risk worth taking. Even if Santander doesn't find his groove enough to be a starter, having that bat available to pinch hit in the postseason would be nice to have. Edit: I don't think he would bat near the top of the lineup. Too many quality options already to fill the top five or six in the lineup. He would have to be maybe in the seven hole. Six at the highest.

    You know what's even cooler? Watching him pitch against anyone else.

    Well that's most people's top three in the rotation if the playoffs began today, so this will be a hell of a test for those three against the best team in baseball.

    The holes in Barger's swing have become more and more apparent and are getting exposed. I'm not sure why they're putting him so high in the lineup while he's slumping.

    Schneider should be in the lineup every day. He's hitting lefties and he's hitting righties.
