  1. It might still work for them. We can't just dismiss the incredible success they had throughout the year because of one terrible stretch. Keep in mind that they're still in it. They do have some young talent mixed in as well. They also still have a couple of years to make it happen after this one.
  2. That's a concern of mine. Not just if he can avoid swinging down and away outside of the zone but what does he do down and away in the zone? I don't think he's got enough juice in his bat to hit those in the air for extra base hits consistently, he's going to have to foul them off or rope line drives the other way. Dude appears to have squeezed so much out of his talent already, it seems unfair for us to expect much more out of him and yet I hope he keeps surprising.
  3. I'm more concerned about Belt. Stomach viruses can be a bitch and oftentimes you lose a little bit of weight and aren't quite the same for a little while after.
  4. Yeah but how did Judge get those meatballs? Because when he's on he has the ability to take incredibly close and very good pitchers pitches that are outside the zone and foul off pitchers pitches on the edges. That's what allows great hitters to be great hitters and wait for meatballs.
  5. I might watch one and a half games per season. It has to be the only thing on and I have to have absolutely nothing else that I feel like doing.
  6. Love the NFL. Been a big fan for years. I don't have a rooting interest in a specific team however so I'm never as invested as I am for something like baseball.
  7. They are who we thought they were. They don't sweep a lot of teams because they are consistently inconsistent. They aren't going to suddenly go through some metamorphosis in September and become something else.
  8. Vlad actually had a good game, was unlucky.
  9. It's remarkable to me that management allows three key players on the team to set this sort of standard for the organization. How do you just let them be fat asses and not address it?
  10. Please Oakland, no more 6 plus ERA pitchers. Have some mercy on us.
  11. No McClanahan, No Rasmussen, No Springs and the Rays still have Glasgow, Eflin and Civale throwing better than any trio that we can throw out there. f***ing savages.
  12. They aren't as good as Los Angeles or Atlanta but in a short series, they have the pieces to upset a great team.
  13. Imagine being picked up by a team in an effort to make a last-ditch effort at the division and immediately blowing their entire playoff hopes. It was a long shot anyway but Cleveland needed this sweep and Gio blew it in less than an hour's work.
  14. He's an elite arm and they desperately needed the bullpen help. They couldn't have expected to go on this horrible slide that they are on, it's still hard to imagine that they won't make the postseason, but if they ever did, if they have a healthy enough rotation they will be really dangerous.
  15. We traded Jeff Kent for a couple of months of David Cone. No regrets because we won a world series. If they win a world series it will be the same for them.
  16. Well we're not in the media Ben you are. So why the f*** aren't you CHALLENGING the manager why this guy's never held to account for his constant ********? We all know the answer, you can't. So who the f*** in the media is putting the manager's feet to the fire? Vladimir Guerrero walks on water and nobody asks questions. Just about every post game Schneider sits there looking comfortable as can be answering softball motherf***ing questions no matter how stupidly the team plays. Spineless media who forgot a long time ago what their job is supposed to be. What do you expect from a room full of puppets?
  17. Root for the Astros. Astros schedule is easier, that's why they likely win the West, Rangers have a tougher schedule.
  18. Ryu I had no problem with at all. But a lot of bedwetting from most of the other pitchers. The bigger issue is that this team is 5-4 through nine of their 15 game "soft" schedule games. I know it's never that easy, but that's just not good enough. It's about to get real tough after that, The Yankees are not going to be pushovers, especially when you get Cole for 1/3 of the games. It's a tough schedule to end the season. There is nothing this team has shown to suggest they're going to go on an extended run.
  19. Bleh. Really hard to get too excited. This team shows no signs of going on an extended run. I don't want to hear about the Colorado affect, the Rockies suck at home because they suck as a team. One of the best pitching staffs and they smoked us routinely.
