  1. Could still be the Mariners. They have the worst schedule and I honestly think the Rangers and Astros are too good to fail. The M's are still the most vulnerable of the three, I think they are most likely to finish third in that division, but they are also the ones that will be toughest to catch since they have a 4 game lead in the loss column PLUS a tie breaker. So that sucks.
  2. Naw, I think to have a chance they would have to sweep us in the three game series, because they are four games back and they have a tougher schedule than we do. I can't see them making up four games with that schedule without a sweep. Even then it'll be tough.
  3. The Amazing Mets!
  4. Not completely sold on Hicks yet. Not too comfortable with him in a run or even two run game. At the moment I might put three or four guys ahead of him.
  5. Well, today is the antithesis of yesterday. Still plenty of time, still a lot of West teams going to face one another, still four games left with Texas. It's going to be a challenge but it was always going to be a challenge. As far as our easier schedule goes, we got the two tougher of our easier scheduled teams out of the way. Need to win at least seven of them next nine.
  6. When you have a front office that allows multiple players to come to camp fat, you set a low bar for professionalism. Quite frankly, I've always felt it's embarrassing when players splash Gatorade on reporters. People can call me oversensitive I don't care. I don't think it's cute or funny that Hazel Mae has to deal with that s***. She's not a player she doesn't get to go get cleaned up. What if she has somewhere to go after the game? What if she's wearing something that gets ruined because of the stupidity? She probably hates it but doesn't want to rock the boat especially as a female reporter. She shouldn't have to speak up about it. She shouldn't have to make compromises. I think the front office should step in on things like that, I personally think it's completely unprofessional and honestly disrespectful.
  7. Springer had surgery on his elbow. I understand it wasn't a major surgery but surgery is surgery, I don't care how minor they make it seem and I fully expected it to affect his bat in the first half and for him to come on strong in the second half. That's pretty much what we're seeing.
  8. ...It's gettin' dark, too dark to see. Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door...
  9. Okay Varsho, you want to make friends in Toronto, now's the time. Now is THE time.
  10. Babe against the world. Unfortunately his teammates are just spectators.
  11. Bunting with a 4 run lead against our pathetic offense? Time to go head hunting!
  12. Berrios was fine. The big blow wasn't even a bad pitch.
  13. A lot of people lied to themselves about this team.
  14. I mean it wasn't a terrible pitch. But that's a definite complexion changer.
  15. Babe has kept us alive in the wild card race.
  16. Commissioner should fold the Angels franchise in the best interests of the game.
  17. Some team is going to pick up Espinal on the cheap and get solid value out of him for a couple of years.
  18. I agree, don't get me wrong, I miss his bat. The team misses his bat.
  19. Teo was always good for about a 3 week heater, followed by a month on ice.
  20. How so? We all knew the Astros, Mariners, Tampa Bay would be outstanding. We figured Baltimore would be in the mix after the end of their season last year and you that Texas had a chance with the additions they made to be in the mix also as well as the Yankees. You always have to factor in the possibility of a second team from the central being in the wild card mix because of the benefit of playing in such a crappy division. Fortunately the Yankees fell off and no second team for the Central is really in the mix, but the teams that are in the mix should not be a surprise to anybody. Anybody who expected this to be any sort of routine ride for the Blue Jays is downright ignorant.
  21. Exactly, this team has one truly capable third baseman. Chappy hasn't been lighting it up offensively and honestly hasn't been at his best defensively lately but we have nobody else.
  22. They need batting average. I'm so sick of the idiots who think it doesn't matter. OBP is great, but someone's got to f***ing get hits at some point. I despise low batting average unless it comes with a LOT of power.
