    Got to admit, I thought Belt might be washed. I didn't mind the signing because there was very little risk for not a lot of dollars but it clearly is coming up roses for us now.

    Been keeping an eye on Texas for the last week, the more teams that come back to the pack the better, but they seem a little bit too good to fail ultimately.

    I'll say again, why haven't they called fastballs up and in to RHH? Especially with that deep left field wall. They are obviously looking down.

    I think most people predicted all of that. Manoah obviously was not as good as his ERA made him look last year, he was going to have come back some and Berrios was clearly better than whatever happened last year. Certainly nobody expected a complete collapse from Manoah.

    Well it seems pretty clear at this point that the Blue Jays are done with him pitching at the major league level this year. Even if there's an injury it seems they would be content to go with an opener over him.

    Baltimore is due a slide before the season is up, that slide begins tonight, as does the end of their sweepless series streak. Jays are going to turn the ugly birds inside out.

    Rangers with a tough loss, will be in tough again tomorrow with Gallen. They will probably still be okay but who knows? Going to be an interesting stretch run, I do think people are overdoing it with Seattle, they are on a heater, they have a great pitching staff but they've had one all season, they have their flaws and will still have their ups and downs. All of these teams have their flaws including ours. Should be exciting.
