    MLB can start to care anytime they want to start to care. Again, it's business, if this becomes a story that gets a lot of traction they will "care". For how many years did Major League baseball look the other way on domestic abuse or sexual abuse? When society forces them to "care", they "care". Not that I want to single out MLB, that's the way it's always been pretty much everywhere. Nobody really cares until they are forced to.

    These types of age rules at around the high school age can be a little bit confusing and most people don't even really pay attention to them at that age. In high school we had a 19 and 14, back when high school was 5 years. The 14-year-old developed nice honkers early. I was 16 when they started dating, so I was well within my right to look at her honkers🙂. From what I understand this was just barely legal, not that I think anyone checked or cared. 22 and 14 pushes beyond what most people would consider comfortable boundaries.

    This team has gotten progressively worse in each of the last two years. 2021 was the year, but they were not aggressive enough in getting us more pitching, especially in the bullpen and especially earlier in the season.

    As I said when he was traded here, incredible arm, but he does give up base runners, he's a butt clenching type of pitcher.

    It's a team game, even Barry Bonds in Roided up Playstation mode couldn't carry his team to a championship. Joey was a beast. He rose to the occasion in several key moments. I would kill to have somebody like Joey Bats on our team right now. He was a master of his craft and took his job seriously. He was a killer. He demanded respect and was unapologetic to anybody who didn't like the cut of his jib. I wish he would teach Vladdy how to hit a f***ing cookie.

    Having the 2, 3, 4 spots coming up in the lineup is supposed to bring optimism. Not with these three!

    Between letting the pitcher-no-longer-anywhere-close-to-Thor off the hook for being mediocre to blowing yet another (ANOTHER!!) bases loaded situation, this could end up being an extremely frustrating loss.

    Pure ********. Some of the limited starting pitcher pitch counts have to do with limiting times through the order, but being scared of pitch counts in general is, and always has been, ********.
