    Superstars are getting 30 mill plus now. He's 19 milion per for next 3, then 2 years at $14 million. If he returns to form that's a very team friendly contract.

    If Tulo returns close to form you realize he's going to be an amazing bargain right? $14 million a year at age 35, 36. Where salaries are headed he'll be a steal if he's still a plus player at a premium position. But you'd rather pay Eddie double that to DH at an even older age?

    We're not talking about a Votto level upgrade here. You are missing the point. Obviously its a business. But bottom line is, the kid gets told he's made the opening day team, would have excitedly called friends, family. Then the team lets him know after they arrive in Tampa for the opener that he's being demoted for overpaid trashbag Franklin f***ing Morales? Why the f*** was Tepera named to the team if they were looking to scoop up a DFA'd loogy all along? Why not just never name him to the team, its not like he deserves it, he's Ryan f***ing Tepera! Why the f*** didn't we just name Venditte to the team in the first place, as everyone seems to agree was the smarter decision, save the $2 million? How is that not the better move? Answer me that Shapiro dickriders!

    Wtf? Yes it is a dick move to tell him he makes the opening day roster, then when he arrives at the team hotel the night before the home opener tell him he's sent to the minors. Yes that is a dick move any way you spin it and your an ass if u don't agree. Now whether he should have been on the team to begin with is another story. I agree with you that he obviously shouldn't have been. Mistake #1 was naming him to the team. Mistake #2 was booting him.

    I've got a pair of tickets in Row 1 of section 210 available for Friday April 22 vs the A's. $80 for the pair. Thats more than $20 less than you can get them for in that section on the Jays website and they are front row. I can do ticket transfer.

    Even if it's not guaranteed, the point is, it's not necessary. First off, it's a dick move to Tepera, being told you made the team, then the night before you get shipped out. Then how about the message it sends to Venditte? If they only signed Morales to hold the bag until Loup comes back, why didn't we just save the $$$ and use Venditte to begin with instead of Morales. If the contract becomes guaranteed when he makes the team, then it's an incredibly stupid waste of $2 million. If it's not guaranteed, and he's only going to make pro-rated part of $2 million for 2 weeks then get cut, then it's bad optics, and Morales will be pissed. All this for Franklin f***in Morales? This smells like the Bruce trade. A head scratching potential waste of money for no reason whatsoever. Why again does everyone love Shapiro/Atkins?

    I'm a season ticket holder but was supposed to work so I sold the tickets a while back. Turns out I'm going to be off after all so I'm interested in going again and now I need tickets. Anyone have 4 good tickets to this game? I'd pay above face value. Cheers

    Funny that Howarth was on Jeff Blair earlier today saying one of the great stories of spring training was how guys like Sanchez and Osuna are willing to do whatever it takes to help this team win, whether that means start or be in the bullpen. More like the exact opposite - Sanchez only wants to start and Osuna only wants to relieve. They don't seem flexible at all. Not sure what Jerry is smoking but pass it over!

    Ok I get what you are saying about Jackie, she's OK to look at but not the cream of the crop. But Kate Beirness? She's got the arms of a dude. She's attractive, but no more than Jackie. If I walk down the street, of the first 100 women I pass, 10 of them will be more attractive than either of those 2 girls.

    WTF is wrong with Edwin? Why the displeasure? I thought he wanted to test FA? Apparently not, he wants to be signed long-term, right now, with the Jays assuming all risk. Why the f*** would the Jays would give him a long term deal right now, when they don't have to, coupled with the fact he's coming off hernia surgery and hasn't played yet this spring due to injury? Edwin is being an idiot. Jose at least, just flat out said what it would take to buy him out of free agency now, as opposed to waiting until after the season. That makes sense - they asked him, he responded. But it doesn't seem like he was expecting them to sign him pre-season. He seems content to wait the season out and deal with it later. Edwin on the other hand, is turning this into a messy situation by calling out the team like this. Lost some respect for EE on this one.
