It is unfortunate that Edwin decided to reject the offer from the FO but anyone in his position would do the same. You bet on yourself because you know you are one of the best hitters in the game. The FO is running the team similar to how I would run a team in MLB The Show. The Jays need to supplement their roster with young players ASAP or they are looking at a longer rebuild. Morales is going to have a solid year in Toronto and I would bet he provides surplus value. These are smart contracts that will not impact the clubs financial flexibility long term. A.A. really damaged the farm system knowing he was not going to return.

Has to be 1. Reyes 2. Bautista 3. EE 4. Lind 5. Cabrera 6. Rasmus 7. J.P. 8. Platoon 9. Platoon With Lind hitting the way he is we can keep Bautista hitting two to get him the most at bats possible. IMO everybody has protection in the top five and with Rasmus/J.P. behind Cabrera he will get pitches to hit as they are both dangerous home run hitters. If the bottom of the lineup can get OB we have a very dangerous lineup which gets so much better when Lawrie comes back and hits 8.
