    Beeston bringing back the logo and the blue to the Blue Jays has been an underrated part of Jays fever that has swept the land. (s***, I remember travelling around Europe after the uniform had changed - and the team was struggling - and was shocked by the number of Blue Jays caps I saw. Had never seen a Jays cap or shirt in Europe before then.)

    with league-leading attendance & tv ratings through the roof together with a hike in ticket prices & stricter game packs ... if payroll went down, there would be quite the backlash, no?

    The reason I ask is ... since the Jays are hiking ticket prices across the board ... and taking the "flex" out of ticket packs ... and probably not resigning fan favourites ... maybe they keep Gibbons around (since he's only got one more year anyway) if Shapiro thinks that the fan base overall likes Gibby? (because Shapiro isn't stupid enough to think that a managerial change makes that much of a difference.)

    Would you say that the majority of Jays fans like, dislike or are indifferent to Gibbons?

    Are the Jays the only MLB team that hasn't made a deal with Stubhub? (now that the Yankees & Stubhub have come to an arrangement) Wonder whether the new Jays regime will change that?

    yeah, the new regime - that left a team with the (or one of the) worst attendance in MLB year in and year out - get league leading attendance falling in their lap and maybe they're getting a little carried away with it?

    according to Dan Shulman on a recent telecast, the great Bruce Bochy said his philosophy is: if you hit a home run then you're automatically in the lineup for the next game.

    Shatkins doesn't care that much about a WS ring this season ... if it happens, it happens, good ... if it doesn't, it doesn't, fine. It should be Alex's ring anyway. Shatkins wants to win when they'll get (and have earned) most of the credit.

    didn't have to renew season tickets until December in past years, and now they want fans renewing by early Sept ... wonder why? haha

    so they extend Smoak to cover themselves in the event that Edwin departs, but the reality is they've now given Edwino maximum leverage in contract negotiations because he can say "if I split, you're stuck with Smoak hahaha"

    yeah, I recall the majority freaking out whenever Cola got the start at 1b over him. who had more WAR between the two last season? (when you exclude Cola's OF "defense" haha)

    I don't recall "value," just premium & regular. yeah, the new regime is getting a little carried away with BJ fever/attendance that Alex gifted them.

    payment plans are available, but they've had incentives to pay in full.

    maybe they don't mind if many STHs are forced to pass on the "early bird" renewal price (given the big hit to their credit card in Sept or Oct.) ?
