For the record, I didn't vote twice. My number is 89 wins. I started the thread with simply a question mark emoji and didn't make a prediction in the opening post, and so a mod must've chimed in there.
I think that the Jays were the last MLB team not to have an agreement with StubHub. That changed today. StubHub is now "the official fan-to-fan resale marketplace of the Toronto Blue Jays." And the Jays are encouraging its STHs to resell any tickets thru StubHub.
Last year was my first full season having MLB.TV. Got it on my ipad and I google chromecasted it onto my big screen TV and it worked flawlessly. Satisfied customer here (as long as the no Jays blackouts continue.). How can a big baseball fan not love being able to watch any game every day/night for seven straight months for $113 U.S. or $150 Cdn? (I watched over 400 games last season.)
ideally, yes ... get the Rays out of our division!
but ... last year Manfred said that Montreal & Mexico City were his two personal frontrunners for expansion teams (obviously, he didn't want to create huge negative headlines in TB)
A contract extension for Gibbons should be easy as pie. He might be willing to do the job just for meal money. Gibby's livin' the dream. He said on PTS re his contract status, "I'm just like Colby Rasmus, it doesn't take much to keep me happy."
and so when the Rays move out of the Trop...and even Montreal builds a charming grass ballpark...then the big market Blue Jays will be the last team in the history of MLB to play on artificial turf ... and for 30 more years no less
very generally speaking, i'm looking forward to my second full season of having MLB.TV ... I work from home and so (when I wasn't down at the Rogers Centre myself) I basically had MLB.TV constantly on the big screen for usually 3 games most days haha
man, 30 years is a long time (especially for a stadium that's already 26-27 years old) ...
How long will Shapiro be team president?
Will Rogers still be the owner of the franchise 30 years from now?
Love the location ... but (once the Rays get out of the Trop) it's disappointing if we'll be the only team in MLB not playing on grass for many many years to come.
Are you serious?
So if I wanted the cheapest single ticket in the 500 Lower Level for (say) the Opener, it comes to $30.50 + $21? (that's ridiculous)
And why USD? Are you using Ticketmaster Canada?
Don't think anybody would prefer a return to Exhibition Stadium over the Skydome (Rogers Centre) ... but a modern new gorgeous ballpark on the former grounds could be a different story?
What do you mean that "fans stopped going?" Attendance figures at The Ex say otherwise. The Jays were either 1st or 2nd in AL home attendance their last few years in that s***** stadium. Friends & I sat in those packed bleachers (miles behind the OF fence haha) on many occasions.
