  1. That would be my bet at this time. Altuve has said he'll move to LF so Bregman can play 2nd.
  2. I'm not so sure. Robert Jr is getting expensive and he was awful last year - in addition to always being hurt. I'm not sure he commands a Top 100 prospect. Someone like Ricky T, who's a former Top 100 prospect (and who would return to it quickly if he returns healthy) should be enough.
  3. Springer would be a killer linebacker.
  4. After 12 years in the majors, hitters finally noticed he only had 2 pitches 😂
  5. One dimensional players simply aren't worth as much. The contract we just got Tony Taters for seems to back that up, as does the deal Teo got.

  7. It's well worth the trip IMO. Cool enough City and an amazing ballpark.
  8. Fan rejects Pirates' offer for rare Skenes card https://thescore.com/mlb/news/319951 The 11 year old who pulled that Skenes 1 of 1 card is rejecting Pirates offer and putting it up for sale. Season tickets for life don't mean anything when you live in Cali...
  9. I think I'm happy that Pressly isn't interested. 36, declining (consistently) and expensive. I mean if the Astros ate a lot of the contract and we didn't give up much - sure, but I think we have more pressing needs.
  10. Or they're stuck after the results of the physical. I imagine his shoulder/elbow look like a 90 year old's after he installed drywall on ceilings for 45 years.
  11. He could be kickin' it old school with the Sears catalog...
  12. He's coming off a bad season and is often injured. He's due $15M this year (but with only a $8.333M luxury tax amount) and then has club options for 2026 and 2027 at $20M. So - he's not as "affordable" as he once was and I'm not sure his value has ever been lower. I certainly think the Jays have the prospects to land him. Something built around some of our recently drafted players, or around Ricky T should get the job done. One advantage of never developing prospects is you don't have to worry about "letting one get away" 😉
  13. My gut also tells me Alonso is going back to the Mets. The best angle I see is that Vientos can't play 3rd and if the Mets are horny to land Vlad, you can't have Vlad, Alonso and Vientos and one would have to go next year. Bregman is the best positional fit, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't join the Tigers (what are those guys doing?). A trade for Robert seems like the next logical pivot. I'd be pretty happy if we landed Robert as a 2nd big bat.
  14. Reasonable deal for Profar - right around what was expected. If he sustains the gains he made last year, he'll be a steal. Ozuna clogs up their DH spot though - where Profar should probably play on a regular basis.
  15. It has to be because they think they can get and/or sign Vlad?
  16. I am super interested to see the terms of this one...
  17. Exactly zero people are acting like he's the second coming of JD.
  18. This is a really impressive deal from the worst GM in team history, who has ruined the franchise and made the Jays the laughing stock of baseball 🥱
  19. That's a very trustable face.
  20. Duct tape and a sharpie man.
  21. Guardians designated RHP Pedro Avila for assignment. Avila gets the boot from Cleveland’s 40-man roster to free up a spot for veteran high-leverage relief arm Paul Sewald. The 28-year-old righty was a revelation last year for the Guardians, posting a strong 3.25 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 73/30 K/BB ratio across 74 2/3 innings (50 appearances). He’s a virtual lock to be claimed off waivers in the coming days. That's a pretty crazy move by the Guardians. They must know last year was a mirage. Dude was pitching for them in the playoffs last year.
