  1. I'll bite, ignore Bonds/Clemens and ask: 1. How do you put McGriff on, but not Walker or Edmonds? 2. How do you put Hoffman on there, but not Billy Wagner?
  2. I think this would also be my list....although I would cheat and add Larry Walker too. It's kinda funny - I wanted to kick Piazza off the list until I realised he actually graded out as a solid defensive catcher (which I never would have guessed - anyone know if he was a good framer???) How on earth does Mussina not get in? 270 wins, 82.2 WAR pitching through the heart of the steroid era? He was unreal and retired coming off a 20-9, 4.6 WAR season......was there a reason for that? I kinda forget.
  3. I heard he had a beer once too. He's totally dropped in my books.
  4. Clemens an ass? kinda hard to imagine.
  5. Given all the injuries Griffey had later in his career, am I the only one who thinks there's a decent chance JR dipped into the PED use (like so many others) to help speed up the recovery times? I don't necessarily understand how some people can be so firm on their suspicions of one player, but not another (enough to decide to vote for one but not the other).
  6. Well you're obviously a "use of PEDs or suspicions of PED use = no HOF"........my point was these two players both played 15 seasons, both put up about 80 career WAR and were both fantastic baseball players. One gets the most votes of all-time. The other still isn't in the HOF. This concept also isn't that difficult.
  7. Can I ask why if you don't think Edmonds had a HOF career? Edmonds - 64.5 WAR Sheffield - 62.1 WAR
  8. So awesome - although I don't remember having to fight in every tag play
  9. I'll say no. Unfortunately.
  10. Ok....and they both were amazing for thier first 12 years....Griffey gets most votes of all time and Bagwell still isn't in. Stupid.
  11. Could just be stupidity. Edmonds was a beauty. HOFer in my books
  12. And Bagwell had 72.9 WAR in his first 12 seasons. What on earth is your point?
  13. It's a beautiful place...perfect really. GD - very jealous you got to play at Doubleday. Our team talked about it for years, but decided it was going to be too difficult to organize.
  14. Griffey gets the most votes of alltime - Bagwell had more WAR....I never would have guessed that...
  15. When is Doc on the ballet? He just lite up Twitter saying Bonds and Clemens shouldn't get in...
  16. I still love emulating his unique swing...a beauty
  17. I don't get it...if you're going to vote Piazza in - how do you not vote Bagwell in? Bags was far superior...he needs to get in.
  18. ^this....I would suspect they are using Griffeys vote to give support to guys like Edgar, Big Mac, Walker, Wagner (who's as good as Hoffman), etc. the stupidity is in the rules set (max 10 picks), not the voter...
  19. Add the guys who voted for Garrett Anderson, Jason Kendall and Mike Sweeney...
  20. Beckett's a nice name. Good pitcher too.
  21. Option 2 gives me a massive boner
  22. You al so need to factor in how many starts your #6 starter is goingt o make. Under this scenario, the #6 starter - he does not exist. Fail.
  23. Have you seen the Jays defence? Outside of Jose in RF...it's awesome
  24. Whoa...2 valid, solid posts in the same thread? New Years resolution?
  25. Ya - 5+ WAR in only 91 games...drool
