  1. http://www.minorleagueball.com/2017/1/3/14156566/chicago-white-sox-top-20-prospects-for-2017 That's a fun read now after all the trades...

  3. Stro has a little Lawrie in him I think
  4. To be honest - I'd be pretty pissed if my girl banged Sanchez...who King will soon reveal as one of the ugliest guys on the team.
  5. Considering Sanchez played with and even piggybacked starts with Thor - I'd suggest he has terrible taste in men.
  6. You'd look for players that look like vampires on cocaine?
  7. That's a fairly good bet. What are the comp's for Benintendi? Small kid without blazing speed, but one hell of a hit tool. What's this kid going to be? Paul Molitor? (side note - didn't realise Molitor was a massive coke head earlier in his career).
  8. He sounds amazing. Bring on the stories Hurl.
  9. So I had to look up who was the 1st overall pick in 2014...which lead me to remember that we took Hoffman over Conforto and Pentecost over Trea Turner. So screw you Twisted for bringing this up.
  10. That's interesting that a faster pace actually decreases fatigue. No wonder Buehrle never hurt his arm.
  11. And the Astros took Brady Aiken...uggh. Is this the year that Carlos Rodon takes over the world? What a rotation the White Sox would have had if they kept Sale. Also - we should trade for Nate Jones. Great arm, great contract.
  12. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. There are a lot of indications that Sanchez's elbow is going to blow out at some point. It will be interesting to see if Boras's strategies come back to haunt young A-a-ron.
  13. Didn't you try stirring this s*** pot up a few months ago without success?
  14. That was funny of King...
  15. Peak Pena was really good...I'd take that!
  16. What's wrong with that???
  17. Tellez is listed at 6'4, 220 lbs. I realise those are often wrong, but Schwarber is listed at 6'0 235 lbs and I don't hear many complaining about how fat he is.
  18. They have Puig 17th in MLB. Can we please trade for him already?
  19. It will be interesting to see if his new diet can somewhat eliminate the "bad body" rep. Seems like one of the easiest flaws a prospect could eliminate.
  20. Can someone explain the difference between "Pitch Type" and "Pitch f/x Pitch Type" on fangraphs? I assume it's just 2 different ways of recording the pitch type? I was just looking in on Jerry Blevins again (as I as going to point how a sign Jose & Blevins + trade for Dyson would be a nice way to finish the offseason) and I see under "Pitch Type" it says he only throws a fastball, curveball and change - but under "Pitch f/x Pitch Type" it suggests he throws a slider 10% of the time. I see the slider velocity is only a couple MPH lower than his fastball - is it just getting grouped in with his fastball on "Pitch Type"?
  21. If you're going to exclude his rough start (wRC+ of 84 in Mar/Apr), then you should also remove his "peak" month in June (wRC+ of 208). We've known his contact rates have been dropping for years now. Far point that a decline in Pearce's bat should also be considered.
  22. I think you grossly underestimate how many average fans there are. Those who read/post on here who have some advanced knowledge of baseball are a very small % of the fan base. I think most fans DO have a serious issue with the moves so far. I suspect upwards of 70% of fans have no idea who Steve Pearce is - and if they do, they think he suxxxx.
