  1. There was some spreadsheet showing the current status going around. It never worked when I opened it and now I've lost interest. Can someone post a link that works?
  2. in 68 PA's. wRC+ of 140 in 332 in AA - I settled on about 145 combined His walk rate spiked last year. He needs to continue that trend and control his K%, but the kid has a bright future. No idea if he's worth Stro straight up, but he's the type of OFer I'd like to get if we're moving Stro....a building block with tons of control. Conforto fits the bill as well.
  3. Got tickets for Jays at Twins and will catch a TB home game while I'm down in FL in early March.
  4. meh - 5 tool prospect, top 10 overall pick, entering his 23 year old season. .963 OPS and a wRC+ around 145 in AA/AAA last year. It's not like there's nothing to like.
  5. The citizenship lines for the WBC are seemingly a joke. I suspect Freeman qualified because he ate some Canadian bacon for breakfast last week.
  6. Our OF is just as bad and there's no help in sight. We should have snagged Ivan Nova when we had the chance.
  7. That's the type of guy I'd consider moving Stro for...although I'd prefer to keep Stro personally.
  8. I kinda hope it's both. Valbuena is the small signing and Blackmon or Puig is the big trade
  9. But what about those scouts who reported the ball "sounds" different coming off his bat?
  10. DH? The only thing he did last year well was play defense!
  11. The name you're searching for is D.J. Davis...
  12. I'm curious to see if more teams start following the Cubs and draft/collect young positional players instead of pitchers. I get that pitching wins championships, but they are so f'ing volatile. Drafting positional players isn't a sure thing - but the rate of success of 1st and 2nd round positional players must be significantly higher than it is for pitchers. Increase the rate of success in your draft and use them and FA money to sign/trade for pitchers when the time is right.
  13. Is there a least inviting place to play in MLB than Oakland Co.?
  14. Possibly. Let me hate on Blair in peace please.
  15. Interpretation is a skill...
  16. Jeff Blair has s*** for brains.
  17. Personally I've never understood why so many fans complain about dome stadiums.
  18. How many bans do you need before it's permanent? I guess he'll just come back under a different user name and it will be more of a pain in the ass?
  19. How much WAR do you guys think we need to get from LF and RF to be a playoff team? 4? 5?
  20. Need 2 OFers. Valbeuna is the best lefty bat left on the market. Moving Smoak opens up a spot for him and getting Bruce poorly fills an OF spot. Gotta get the Mets to include a prospect with Bruce
  21. Smoak for Bruce and Nimmo. Sign Valbeuna and collect the 1st rounder for Jose
  22. Would they have taken Biagini?
  23. Sign Valbeuna and some bullpen help; trade for Puig
