  1. The next time anyone see's Latos, he'll be crushing ketchup pringles with Lawrie...
  2. How awesome would it be to talk with their bosses about the job they do and the audience they cater to?
  3. I love that's what you took from my post Ang. Awesome.
  4. f*** - whatever. You want to talk with Gruber about where Bo and Travis will be playing in 2020 - you be my guest. I can't wait to wade through the discussion about our 2020 lineup while looking for legit posts about our prospects. I mean f*** guys, that 2020 rotation with Stro, Sanchez, Zeuch, our 2017 #1 pick and SRF is going to be the BOMB. Connor Greene setting up Osuna - we'll be World Series favourites fo shizzle!
  5. I'd argue Romero's 3 year run from 2009 - 2011 was his full potential. This guy was utter garbage in the minors, had a hot spring in 2009 with gave him an opportunity in the rotation (partially due to his draft position + pedigree). From there he exceeded everyone's expectations and managed to run with it for 3 solid seasons. Interestingly enough, Sanchez is following a remarkably similar path. Biggest difference is he managed to throw in some dominate relief innings before a hot spring thrust him into the rotation, where he exceeded nearly everyone's expectations.
  6. JD + Pillar sure, but have you followed Tulo's career? The answer is a lot FFS.
  7. I thought we now have a highly educated staff of physicians who are helping to regulate this type of s***.....like how the 76'ers had doctors regulating how much practice time each of their athletes participated in. Am I mis-remembering again? Regardless, it is incredibly ignorant to put this on Gibby alone.
  8. Pendleton - I love you man, I'm sorry for the generalization. My point remains valid (minus you).
  9. + Valbuena - but maybe he gets a pass due to injury. How dare you suggest our FO knows what they are doing....
  10. Disagree. We're talking 2-3 years from now. There's a real chance a college player taken by the Jays in the upcoming draft reaches the majors before Bo does. Have you guys talked about who's spot in the rotation T.J. Zuech is taking? LOL
  11. Issue Is pro teams realise age matters. College programs don't give f***.
  12. Fairly sure parents are holding their kids back on public school so they are older than their peers in high school football so they dominate, get notice and get scholarships. It's pretty sickening...but for many it's the only way the kid would ever get a shot at going to college and breaking the trend.
  13. Just a massive outliner season that's never repeated again...that said...apparently Reynolds is having his own 2009 Mark Reynolds year right now too!
  14. I'm always fascinated at drawings hard lines like that during a fight. Punching, sucker punching, helmet throwing, baseball throwing....where is that line and how on earth do you draw it? I'd be more inclined to suggest that f***ing ankle stomper be kicked out of baseball forever. That was clearly premeditated. He's as guilty as the guy whipping baseballs IMO.
  15. Looks like the fielder steps on the guys fingers on purpose to see if he can get him to pull his hand off the bag. Then stomps his ankle? WTF man. But the best part is the base runners' phantom punch after the initial push. Amazing.
  16. Smoak is making way more contact than he's ever done before - in and out of the zone. He's having a 2009 Mark Reynolds season so far!
  17. We're talking BB% up 2 and K% down 2. His O-Swing% is only down 3-4%, Swing% is the same.....is that true change? or just a hot streak? It doesn't seem like a drastic change to me. I'll ask...is Smoak's sustainable improvement? His K% is way down.
  18. Bad day at the plate for Tellez. Tough game for Chris Smith - who looked to be throwing the ball well coming off injury.
  19. You could do that in just about every draft in the history of baseball man. But yes. Screw you for reminding me of what could have been.
  20. Just to clarify, he's earned all $8M right now. We're into the surplus baby! Who on earth ever thought we'd ever talk about surplus value with Smoak?
  21. Pillar's always been very streaky. There's a good chance he isn't the hitter we've seen to start the year and is much closer to the hitter we've seen the past 2 years. I suspect in a months time he'll be back hitting 8th and at the end of the year, we'll consider it "improvement' if he gets his wRC+ anywhere near 100.
