  1. They sure make him seem like a future stud on TV. Tools for days.
  2. Seth Romero has a massive reverse W. Did teams stop caring about that mechanical flaw?
  3. Oliveras over Palacios all day.
  4. That depends on what year you think you can contend. Based on the Angels current situation, that might be the 2022 version of Trout....and yes, he'll likely still be amazing then too, but there's a chance he's not. Let's be honest, the Angel's f***ing suck. Awful organization. We'll probably be talking 10-20 years from now about how awful it was to watch Trout waste away on a bottom feeding organization for all those years.
  5. Believe me - I think Tim Beckham sucks, but he is on pace for a 3.5+ WAR season (thanks to a .394 BABIP). Edit - Just realised Logan Morrison and Souza have also been fantastic for the Rays this year (and Corey Dick of course)
  6. Did Tyler Flowers work out with Smoak this offseason? jesus.

  8. I'd love to see the BB% get back up to 8-9% for Olivaras. Still developing nicely.
  9. Some people don't like obnoxious drunks - regardless of nationality.
  10. Ah. Rape is bad too. Still a hair below child molestation though in my books
  11. Wat? Having an orgy with a consenting adult is the same as molesting a child? That's like saying shop lifting is the same as the 9-11 bombings. And when was Dirk talking about orgy's on the air? That's awesome.
  12. That is really f***ed up. f***ing sickos family sides with their future "meal ticket". Maybe they all just need some free counselling and programs so they can stop being pieces of s***. I'm sorry but you can't fix stupid.
  13. I assume there are countries that provide significantly more programs to rehabilitate criminals. Do the stats indicate there is a significant difference in the % of repeat offenders? Even if it's true, it's hard to fathom pouring tax dollars into programs to try and fix these massive shitbags...many of which can't and won't be fixed....they'll simply go molest another helpless child. IMO they deserve the same penalties as murders do. Molesting a child can seriously ruin their lives.
  14. Why did Zeke stop running there?
  15. I don't pretend to have enough information to debate this, but most people would point to the reality that many criminals who are let back into society become repeat offenders (whether that's because of the situation we put them in - or simply because they are a moronic POS who don't deserve to be part of society). What % become repeat offenders? I don't know, but what % is too much? If there are 100 registered sex offenders and only 15% repeat - that's 15 more kids that are molested by some f***ing wacko. IMO, that's 15 more than we should ever allow....especially when the "upside" is to simply let 85 registered sex offenders back into society... I'd say about 2 years ago now, a registered child molester, who's been convinced multiple times, who apparently said in court that if set free that he would molest again, was relocated from Saskatchewan to rural Ontario - some 15-20 minutes from my house. It's f***ing scary and creepy.
  16. Can you imagine the locker room s*** that Heimlich is going to have to put up with (and rightfully so).
  17. Not a fan of this new Fangraph front page layout.
  18. What he did last year is exactly what they should have expected.
  19. Interesting article geared around what Pillar is doing differently this year. Apparently he reads Fangraphs too. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/another-way-to-lift-the-ball-better/ “To be honest, you’ll talk to other people in here and they’ll make a conscious effort to think about their launch angle. I’m just trying to hit the ball hard,” he said. “FanGraphs is the reason I wanted to make a lot of changes.” “I went on and did some homework on myself, and I realized that I was in the top 20 or whatever last year for hard-hit balls, but I was also fourth in the league in soft contact,” Pillar continued. “That led me to think. A lot of that had to do with swinging at pitches outside of the strike zone.”
  20. A pro athlete cheating on his fiance and then trying to hide it? Colour me surprised!
  21. At some point we should expect pitchers to make another adjustment against Smoak and his new approach (just as pitchers are against Judge, who's K% continues to rise). We'll see if he can counter that.
  22. Good question. I wonder if the FO went to him with suggestions on a new approach - or set him up with someone different to help change his approach (which is something you'd do in the offseason). Do they do things like that? or it that type of thing all up to the player? Maybe they just went to him and said they were going to cut him lose unless he made improvements. I'd love to know.
