Being able to sign David Price instead of selling off top prospects to acquire talent doesn't help keep your farm system stocked? I get your point King. Draft well and you'll always have a strong farm system....there are teams that can contend annual, while still maintaining a strong farm system. That said - there are a number of factors that influence how feasible it is to do that and teams are often faced with the decision to sell some assets to try and win - or to stay the course and hope the development approach ultimately pays off.

Dodgers and Red Sox also spend a lot more money than the Jays do. The Cubs are the gold standard. Every team in MLB envy's them.

So only the Cubs, Dodgers and Red Sox are better than Toronto. This graph completely ignores depth, which is pretty irresponsible (although predicting how injuries will affect outcomes is incredibly difficult in it's own right). -

King - I can't tell you how much I appreciate these types of updates. Awesome stuff.

I PVR'd the game and turned everything off to watch it in peace last night. I haven't read this GDT at all (I suspect it will suggest the sky is falling). Couple of things I took away. 1. Steve Pearce blows bubbles as he scores from first on a double. I find that hilarious. 2. Buck Martinez scoffing at the idea that Steve Pearce could move to LF (if they brought Smoak in the play first) was extremely cringe worthy. Buck/Tabby also went on to suggest Jose was one of the best defensive OFers the Blue Jays have ever had. 3. Steve Pearce is should hit above Tulo and Martin (although I do think Tulo's going to have a good offensive season). 4. The bullpen is going to be fine. 5. Jose has made a slight adjustment to his stance. That is all.

Did they say why? Report said camera feed was blurry....so each team can ask them to go look at the blurry feed as much as they want? Don't understand.
