  1. Michael Jordan owns 0.5% too - I never knew that.
  2. I'd have to imagine Rogers is already driven as an internet and data provider than as a "cable" company no? I read they are considering this due to the massive jump in data use and the need to further invest in that department......that's clearly the future of their company. Cable is all but dead.
  3. I always thought the Jays were profitable and the immense marketing that Rogers gets through the Blue Jays was invaluable. I guess when you're part of a near monopoly for service, marketing isn't as necessary and their are better investments out there for that money. I worry this is bad for my Blue Jays, but good for my shares in Rogers - such a confusing dilemma.
  4. What about Stanton + Ohtani? Posey Stanton Belt Crawford Panik Pence Span MadBum Ohtani Cueto Shark That's a good team.
  5. Any chance Miami leaked this (knowing Stanton won't accept a trade to SF) to drive up his price?
  6. s*** - 4 1st round picks (2013, 2014, 2015 + 2017) + $45M for Stanton? That seems like great value.
  7. I agree. Pearce should be used in the OF under emergency conditions only. I'd like to see them add a LH bat (RHP killer) to pair up with Alford, Pillar, Teoscer. I'm not sure if Alford is ready yet, but I could see a situation where we land a platoon LH outfielder and between Alford, Teoscar and the FA, they share LF + RF - riding the hot hand, playing matchups, etc.
  8. I guess the same could be said about the Angels.
  9. Stroman must have been sleeping when the Jays played the Angels last year...
  10. For some stupid reason - I was just on Stro's twitter feed looking for what he said about Jeff Blair. What I found was a post where he said Goins had the best infield glove in baseball. That kind of bias goes beyond a normal friendship. One can only assume that's a semen induced bias right there.
  11. It's almost like friendships develop when you play 162 games and travel all over the country together....friendships which cloud your judgement and generate bias opinions. I'm completely sick of the Stro-show, but he is human. Being upset and a tad perplexed that one of your friends got cut is a pretty natural reaction.
  12. It's like the baseball gods are shining down on us right now. This makes me so happy. f*** KC.
  13. Perhaps the results of the questionnaire were so similar that it's pushed location up his priority list...
  14. Meh - I don't see any concerns with asking any interested team to explain how they would use/develop him.
  15. They may have presented a very appealing (and perhaps creative) response as to how they would use him.
  16. I'd like to see him go to the Angels. Trout deserves some help and Ohtani will help put Trout in the spotlight he deserves. If not - SF. Stanton and Ohtani would be a sick off-season for the Giants!
  17. I'm in the same boat. The high energy guys wear out their welcomes quick with me. He's Brett Lawrie to me now
  18. I assume he can play 2nd. Does anyone know if he has the arm to cover 3rd?
  19. Who the f*** wants to live in Atlanta??
  20. A healthy, productive Diaz is our starting shortstop...
  21. So I'll do it. Why would the Cards give Diaz away for free? They aren't a dumb FO.
  22. I'm happy Goins is gone. I'm glad Kohler wasn't tendered and I really am sick of Stro. He's so stupid.
