  1. August has 5 weeks this year, next week will be the 4th of 5 - that qualifies as "late" to me....and that is all predicated on how his side session goes. I love ya, but you're grasping.
  2. um. Late August is a little subjective. It's not the most outrageous fake news I've read.
  3. prefers guys who can handle the wood obviously. Handle the big stick.
  4. I suspect that's not the first time she's taken a massive facial like that.
  5. My bad. I just saw the 4 year contract on fangraphs that expires this year. I'd love to know what the cost is to acquire him. I agree that he wouldn't come cheap.
  6. My favourite threads all season. I know I can look up the stats myself, but it was really nice to have it all right here with a little commentary from the board. I know it took a lot of effort and thanks to Twisted for doing it when he did.
  7. I wouldn't mind signing him this offseason somehow.
  8. Just huffin' dongs 24/7 to earn his promotion.
  9. Interesting to hear. I love that approach and I'm surprised more ML pitchers (especially ones with control problems) don't utilize it. I made the switch personally about 3 years ago and now only pitch out of the stretch and I love it. Here are the stats/report for anyone who's curious Glasnow, who has compiled a 7-0 record with a 1.57 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 103:26 K:BB in 68.2 Triple-A innings since a demotion to the minors, has pitched exclusively out of the stretch for Indianapolis, Pirates Prospects reports. 11. He's like the 2nd or 3rd best catcher in baseball man. Nobody should have expected him to repeat the wRC+ of 170
  12. Of the 13 qualified DH's in the AL, only 4 have a wRC+ over 102 and a WAR > 0.1. It's pretty damn bleak out there. I realise it's not that easy, but I think based on this, teams would be willing to take a look at him.
  13. Reyes always had a rocket of an arm sir.
  14. I generally would agree, although I could cite Jose Reyes as a SS who's defense fell off a cliff as he aged. Similarly, I could cite Jim Edmonds, who's defense in CF was consistent throughout his career - almost improving to a peak at age 35. There are always exceptions to the rule (like Tulo).
  15. Wow - I suspect he'd get claimed, but what do I know.
  16. There's certainly a difference. I don't know if I'd consider it massive though.
  17. To be fair - he was Kevin Pillar with the bat until this year. I'd have to assume the Braves expected his REMARKABLE defense would start to decline as he aged and they had no faith in his bat. Would you trade Kevin Pillar right now for say - Tyler Glasnow?
  18. Tim Beckham Jr. has put up 1.6 WAR in 15 games for Baltimore. Now up to 2.8 WAR on the season. Wow.
  19. Future 1st baseman??? http://i.imgur.com/xVjxKt8.gif

  21. Carter Capps hasn't struck out anyone in 4 appearances since being recalled. From Elite to zero in a hurry. Has anyone seen him throw without the 'hop'?
  22. To be fair - he sucked until this year. Now he's one of the best bullpens arms in baseball.
  23. Did we upgrade how the site works on cell phones? Or did my phone do an update or something?
