pre-season? no. Not per MLB.com It looks to me like we are taking a flyer on a guy who's shown some significant advancements over the first half of the 2018 season. Will he be able to sustain that development and/or will it carry over into the higher levels? Nobody knows. He's a lottery ticket - exactly what we should expect to get for someone like Steve Pearce. -

I think you're probably onto something here. I think teams are scared of long term deals right now and nobody will give up top prospects for rentals anymore. The biggest issue is his health. He's been breaking down a lot lately.
