  1. Stanton - good morning, good afternoon, good night.
  2. I think he needed a year to adjust. I think he tears it up next year (160 wRC+) if healthy.
  3. I can't believe they started Senzatela and left Gray off the roster. How can a FO be so inept? Are they calling Dave Stewart for advise?
  4. Why'd he just keep rutting the ball to Moose?
  5. You've exposed my weakness P2F. I feel so vulnerable.
  6. Thanks. I actually saw a Fangraph's writer citing bWAR stats in their article the other day, which I thought was weird (as you'd think they'd be told only to cite their WAR - suggesting it's the 'best').
  7. Can I get the cole's notes on the difference between fWAR and bWAR?
  8. How much can we put some of Maddon's odd decisions on Epstien/Hoyer? We all praised Gibby's ability to adapt to a new front office and to the way they wanted to play the game (using analytics more). Is Maddon following direction - or is he so high and well respected that we think he's 100% calling the shots?
  9. Barnes pitched through knee pain all year. Expect him to have offseason surgery. I don't know if that was a major factor in his results this season, but it may have.
  10. Dem Rockies have had issues with roster management....
  11. Meh - I may just be really excited that playoff baseball is back. The pitching has been great...I like pitching.
  12. "Hamels throws him lemons and he makes lemonade" - that's the worst comment of the day from A-Rod. Edit - he must be getting tired...suggesting a bunt with 1 out.
  13. This has been an incredible game. I f***ing love playoff baseball.
  14. Severino starting over Happ for the Yanks in the WC game. People seem surprised by this. Why? Severino was superior in almost every single way this season, including his recent success in the month of September. Are people speculating Happ would start b/c of his W/L record with the Yanks?
  15. Who's your pick to when the World Series now J4L?
  16. I just realised these games are on in the afternoon. FFS - people have to work. I was all jacked to watch them this evening.
  17. Teo is actually really fast. He just has no idea how to use that on the baseball field.
  18. I don't know....but that wild card game is going to be must see TV. It's going to be glorious.
  19. Good call. Either way - for me. Giles is very comparable to Osuna. To think we essentially replaced Osuna while added a very talented arm is exciting - even if you ignore the situation that Shatkins/Ownership were in. When you factor in the later, it's a massive win.
  20. What does he mean by this: A functional closer who’s not as good as the guy he replaced, but turning a radioactive commodity into the potential Rookie of the Year isn’t something that’s likely to be replicated any time soon.
  21. I like that. I was fortunately enough to be at the game yesterday and my kids got to meet Pillar. Gibby (and probably, hopefully? Pillar) will be gone from the Jays soon - but neither will soon be forgotten in the hearts of Jays fans.
  22. Nice to see Berti get a hit. Fun game to be at.
  23. Holy f*** I'm going to miss Gibby
  24. From Rotoworld: "Roberto Osuna has had his domestic assault charge withdrawn. It was the result of an agreement between the prosecution and Osuna. He's agreed to a peace bond for one year in addition to not having any contact with the alleged victim during that time. Osuna was arrested back in early May for allegedly assaulting a woman and served a 75-game suspension from MLB before being traded to the Astros in July. He has been serving as Houston's primary closer in recent weeks."
