    Typically, pitchers would have to wait 15 days before they are recalled. So this move would seem pretty stupid. However, there are various exceptions, including things like injuries or double headers. But one of the exceptions is the end of the minor league season, which is scheduled for September 20th. So I suspect he'll be recalled on the 21st? Does that seem right?

    To be fair - we kissed the playoffs goodbye back in June. The comeback to sneak into the playoffs was a once in 20 chance. It was a fun to think it might happen over the last 3-4 weeks, but we all ought to have known it was a huge longshot.

    My response to this is - which managers hold their star players accountable? You just don't see it often at the ML level. Given how sh*tty Vlad is - I see no reason you don't just pull him tonight and send a message. Much harder to pull a star who's a difference maker and not a BUM like Vlad. I wonder if players are trying to hold each other accountable too. Does Springer go over and ream him out?

    It's sad how bad Jackson Holliday is. He was a massive prospect. I mean I'm happy because it's the O's, but I still hate seeing guys flop like this.

    That's primarily because our offense resembles that of a below average CBL team.

    I'm confused - you say you're agreeing with me, but also don't understand why he was on the club? He hits RHP well. That's it. That's why he was on the team and why they were willing to try and overlook his moronic decision making and defensive adventures. When you're dead last in baseball in offense - you have to do these types of things. If our offense was middle of the pack, he's probably have been DFA's much sooner.

    Little has actually been "good' since he returned July 20th. 2.37 ERA | 2.81 xERA | 3.68 FIP | 3.10 xFIP - even with an inflated 0.375 BABIP 14+ K/9 Walks are still a massive concern and nobody in their right mind "trusts" him yet, but you simply don't DFA Little until he's out of options. This team CLEARLY targets pitchers with great stuff, but control issues. They must believe they can help "fix" the control issues. They won't always be successful - some will fail, but you don't give up on these types of arms until you absolutely have to. It's how you discover the next José Alvarado.

    As crazy as this seems, Sanchez still leads the Blue Jays in wRC+ v. RHP this year. For the WORST offense in baseball, it shouldn't be that hard to see why we kept this guy around so long. The issue is he went from being a below average to average defender straight to being a permanent DH overnight and we already have a DH (who's #2 on the team v. RHP this year).
