  1. WTF are the Texan's doing?
  2. you should check out some Emotional Intelligence books DR.
  3. I read the spanish flu killed about 10% of the infected people. Covid 19 isn't anywhere close to that yet. I also read the heat does kill it (26-27 degrees Celsius). But my s*** is from Facebook so who the f*** knows. Regardless - why the f*** are you insulting people?
  4. Apparently we took a close look at Matt Harvey... Jon Heyman reported on this week’s Big Time Baseball podcast that Matt Harvey worked out for the Blue Jays "several weeks" back. Heyman says that the Jays "seriously" considered signing Harvey but ultimately decided against it. This is the first we've heard of any interest in Harvey this offseason. He posted a 7.09 ERA for the Angels last season before being released midseason.
  5. What's up with Scooter? Coming off 2 huge seasons. Tears his groin and was awful last year Now is unsigned? 1 year removed from 4.5 WAR....is he holding out for a starting gig? Why isn't he signed?
  6. I think it's more that Espinal's has like 100 at bats in AAA and we have very little depth at MI within the upper minors. Having Espinal sit on the big league bench isn't going to help his development. There's probably a very slim chance we get 2017 Joe Panik again, but if we do - like we did with Sogard last year, we can get a couple of lottery tickets for him. There's also a pretty good chance that Espinal would post a 76 wRC+ in the bigs...
  7. Espinal has options, so it's really not much of a battle.
  8. "Kirk is built like Chris Farley and, like Farley, has moments of surprising grace and athletic brilliance despite his size." Classic.
  9. Fangraphs list. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/top-38-prospects-toronto-blue-jays/
  10. The Blaze Jordan hype has really died down eh? He's now a 2nd or 3rd rounder?
  11. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/mike-trouts-inevitable-decline/
  12. perhaps already posted, but Collin McHugh signed with the Red Sox. I would have liked to see the Jays nab him.
  13. Maybe he should go try football again.
  14. I'm sure someone would say they'd rather the opposing pitchers have a good grip on the ball so they don't hit and hurt the Angel players... I wonder what he was giving them. I mean did they just asked for sunscreen and that's what he gave them? or was he bringing them pine tar to doctor up their gloves? Or some other concoction?
  15. man - you need to move on from this. If Alford is cut before the end of Spring Training, than who's the 26th man on this roster. Tellez? J.Davis? insert whoever you want. Than compare that player to Puig. Puig is better. He's probably better than Fisher and Teoscar too. He even projects to be better than Gurriel (if you even out the projected games played), who also seems to get hurt a lot. The reality is we are thin - and not very good in the outfield. Puig is probably what is he - a 1.5 to 2 WAR player. But he's an obvious upgrade over what we have.
  16. What does Tellez bring that Puig doesn't? Tellez can't run or play defense and projects (somehow) as a league average hitter. There's certainly a chance he blossoms and deserves the at bats, but there's a much strong possibility that Puig is far superior. Plus - it just lets us stash Tellez in AAA....he can force his way onto our roster in a number of ways if he breaks out (takes over at DH from Teo, Shaw doesn't rebound, injuries, etc.). And why are we better off bringing in another version of Goins exactly?
  17. This argument is moot because we can accommodate both Puig and Teo in the lineup. Puig in RF, Teo at DH (primarily). Signing Puig boots Alford and/or Tellez off the team.
  18. Lacy's follow through looks like D.Price.
  19. Good luck with that. Big sign Puig to a 1 year deal and stick him in RF.
  20. Eat a bag of dicks. You're a s*** stain on this board.
