  1. Somewhere Goose Gossage is happy for once.
  2. That first pitch frame job is f***ing incredible.
  3. These are two teams I want to watch. Great lineups. Exciting players. Mets could do some serious damage if Cespedes is healthy and Nimmo/Cano bounce back.
  4. Laika - you're selling Conforto short man. He's a and better than Schwarber
  5. correct. 3 batters or finish an inning.
  6. Holy f*** I saw that and was going to make a comment. Your comment is 1000 times better than the trash I would have come up with. Well done sir.
  7. Congrats CD!
  8. You must be mistaken. I was told big boned ball players can't lose weight or transformer their body.
  9. Are you saying the Crown owns the land 'around' the dome and someone else owns the land within the building footprint? That is messed up.
  10. You can't honestly believe that.
  11. As Laika said - adjusting the seats (direction, spacing, etc.) and reducing the capacity some would go a LONG way to improving the experience. The dome still is enjoyable when the roof is open and the CN Tower is in the backdrop. I think there's still room to add some more lipstick before they need a new one.
  12. I tend to agree, which is why I was really surprised it ranked as the 3rd worst in MLB. I've been to Boston, NY, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cincy, Philly, Baltimore and Washington and while I prefer most of those stadiums to the dome - I wasn't left thinking the dome is a complete s*** hole compared to those parks...while also factoring in that going to something new is naturally going to seem 'better' when compared to a stadium you've been to plenty of times.
  13. Were the terms of his agreement with the Braves ever leaked? Curious if he's holding out for like $10M or something (waiting for injuries or COVID to strike so he can get paid)
  14. Apparently Baltimore is willing to let us use Camden Yards - but we need to get through the Maryland Governor. According to Ken Rosenthal and Dan Connolly of The Athletic, the Blue Jays are now discussing using Camden Yards for most of their home games. The plan has been approved by the Orioles, and Major League Baseball would certainly welcome it, but the Blue Jays still need the go-ahead from the Maryland governor's office. They thought they had a plan in place to stage games at Pittsburgh's PNC Park, but the Pennsylvania state government denied the proposal in the end. Buffalo remains the likely fallback if the Camden Yards idea is not approved. Jays have good taste in temporary homes. PNC and Camden Yards are both Top 5 in baseball.
  15. Is there a chance that NY axes Buffalo as a possibility? I guess Dunedin is still viable because nobody cares about containing anything in Florida? Is that the logic?
  16. Tampa Bay just continues to f*** us in the bum hole.
  17. Mookie signing 12 years $400M with the Dodgers?
  18. I was telling my boys about how the Jays may play in PNC Park last night and how gorgeous it was. My oldest was curious and googled best MLB stadiums and I was a little surprised to see the Rogers Centre was 3rd last, behind Oakland and TB...
  19. His fastball velo has dropped from like 97+ to 94 over the past 3 years. Was he hurt last year?
  20. f*** - what an incredible view. PNC, Camden...those are what baseball stadiums are meant to look like. I was planning to take my boys to see the Jays in PNC this year...f***ing COVID
  21. Will they pump in boo's too? That would be hilarious. Just troll the s*** out of the other team.
  22. Has anyone heard of Adam Tulloch? 6'2 left handed pitcher. He was at the College of Central Florida last year and was in the 2020 draft. Apparently the Jays considered him with the 5th round pick this year and offered him $92K to sign. He obviously wasn't drafted and has now transferring to West Virginia and will re-enter the draft next year. He's actually Canadian, although his parents moved to Florida so he could pursue the dream. My wife babysat him and his brother back in the day and I worked with him (helping with his mechanics and approach) a few times over the past 3-4 summers when he'd come home to visit...he even pitched for my men's league team in tournament a few times. Kid always had a huge arm (42 K's in 25 innings last year), but is wild (21 BB). I found this little article on him (http://stats.pointstreak.com/news_story.html?id=524853). Thought I'd share as apparently the Jays were interested in him this year.
  23. Anytime you have the opportunity to play in PNC Park - you take it!
  24. I'd definitely trade McGuire if someone thinks he's going to hit at the ML level and become more than a very solid backup catcher...
