George Springer (oblique) made 14 plate appearances in a simulated game on Tuesday in Texas.
Per the Blue Jays, Springer went 4-for-11 with three walks and two strikeouts, taking 17 total swings. He is eligible for activation as early as this Thursday after landing on the 10-day injured list just before the start of the regular season -- retroactive to March 29 -- because of a Grade 2 oblique strain that he suffered mid-camp. It's obviously a very good sign that he is currently traveling with the team.
