Is this going to be the new trend in baseball? You lock up your young stud prospects when they have little to no experience or proven results at the ML level? It certainly seems that way.

    Interesting. Rich was a 17th round pick last year. He's still only 18. I guess Sosa gives us some MI depth? Savant page is decent for a 2nd baseman, but looks like he swing at everything and he can't run or play much defense.

    I thought I saw one the other night where the pitch was outside, the ump called a ball, but the player originally thought it was a strike and called for a challenge. Once he realized the ump did call it a ball, he tried to stop the review, but was denied. The pitch was confirmed correct, so he lost the challenge! Maybe I was dreaming again?

I'm personally OK with giving Ohtani an extra bit of time. He's a unicorn. He's different than catchers because someone else can warm up the pitcher while the catcher gets ready.

    Based on what? Last year? You've never seen closers go through ups and downs from year to year? Is Josh Hader reliable? He went from a 1.23 ERA to a 5.22 ERA to a 1.28 ERA to a 3.80 ERA over the last 4 years. Hoffman was fantastic in 2023 and 2024 and has been lights out so far this year. 20.25 K/9, 2.70 BB/9, 0.16 xFIP. Maybe 2025 is the outlier?

    That is awesome. Enjoy. I sat there when it was the TD Comfort Zone and I think it's the best seat in the house. Own waitress/waiter, more leg room, fewer seats per road, 200 level isn't as busy for food/washrooms, padded seats and a great view.

    Reds DFA Christian Encarnacion-Strand. Is he the next EE? I mean probably not, but what a fall for a once very promising prospect.
