  1. Acuna is on pace to hit like .330 with 40 hrs, 140 runs and 70 sbs and almost 9 WAR. You'd have to be a moron to choose .400 with 6 hrs, 70 runs and 6 WAR over Acuna. Seems highly doubtful either player reaches those final numbers though. Carrol is a f***ing beast though. What an exciting player.
  2. oh yeah - my bad. I hope his random opinion is correct too. ****.
  3. Hope he's right about what? He didn't provide any insight into which of the 2 possibilities it was. He literally just said the same thing several on this board did.
  4. Same - although it might be at the expense of the Jays making the playoffs.
  5. I'd certainly be kicking the tires to see what teams would give up for him. He's a loser.
  6. The lab post was my first in 6 days. I have no idea what you're talking about. People can suggest that we don't know what this process is and that perhaps he was out there working on a particular pitch or location or something, but there's little doubt in my mind that everyone involved in this situation is petrified with the results today. This isn't a star pitcher who's coming off an injury an needs to face some batters to build up arm strength/stamina before returning to the majors. This was someone who was completely lost and was sent to a training facility to work with the Jays experts to figure out what the f*** is wrong with him. It seems highly unlikely they decided to put him back on the mound in a situation where they didn't think he'd have success and build confidence. That seems like a terrible thing to do to a pitcher who was completely shell-shocked at the MLB level. Obviously I have no evidence, but I think today was a complete and utter failure of epic proportions. One that certainly sets Manoah back - likely for the rest of the year. I guess we'll see - hopefully I'm wrong.
  7. Huh? It was just a f***ing joke...one which Krylian made a further (good) joke about. Maybe we should have sent Manoah to Jenny Craig instead of our new high tech training facility. That's another joke in case you're unsure.
  8. The Blue Jays 'experts' must be s***ing their pants right now. Someone decided he was ready to face live hitting and that person was 100% wrong. Could you imagine that guys face as he gets pounded by some teenagers? Does this epic failure suggest it is an issue with his weight/body/flexibility? I would seem like you'd need a few months to transform his body back to where it needs to be to have success. Or perhaps he's just a complete headcase now. Either way, these 'experts' in their expensive facility sure have their work cut out for them. At this point, what are the chances we see Manoah pitch as a starter for the Blue Jays again with a reasonable level of success (let's say as a current Taijuan Walker level - 4.41 xFIP, 3.5 BB/9, 7.7 K/9). Is it even 50%?
  9. He's literally twice as big now. How do we end up with 3 obese, useless f***s on this team.
  10. Good thing the Jays invested so much money into that lab. It's really paying dividends.
  11. His current ERA is 2.28 though. I don't expect it to stay there and it probably needs to if he's going to be a Cy Young contender.
  12. All while Kiermaier is crashing back to earth offensively (down to a 111 wRC+). Vlad is a massive waste of talent.
  13. It seems Swanson always pitches after Gausman. I wonder if the Jays have some numbers that suggest he's actually better when following Gausman (which is somewhat counterintuitive).
  14. I would certainly argue that Rowdy Tellez should not be a starter at the ML level. He's 5-6 years into his career and has a career WAR of 0.4.
  15. That's a good question. Crazy to think this is Stroman's age 32 season already. Seems doubtful he continues this success as his peripherals haven't changed much. He's just getting lucky with BABIP, LOB% and HR%. Still a very good pitcher - probably a 3-4 WAR guy. I could certainly see him getting 5/120 this offseason as his last big payday.
  16. Wowsers. In the statcast era, the longest ML home run is 508 feet. Apparently, in 1987, Joey Meyer of the Denver Zephyrs (Triple-A) hit a 582-foot home run for the longest home run in recorded history.
  17. I wonder what the chances are that he comes back as an effective pitcher who can contribute. 50/50?
  18. I honestly have no idea what this means. What absolute statements did I make? What's wrong with a debate on a message board? Term and I debated until I'd had enough and threw in the towel. Then you had to jump in and add your 2 cents. You literally started the debate and now won't let it end.
  19. This entire discussion started because I suggested he wasn't a prospect and that I thought he had about a 5% chance of becoming a ML starter. It was a random statement that you decided to point out was contradictory (I guess because you think a 5% chance of becoming a starter makes you a prospect). Obviously some think there's a much better probability that he becomes a ML starter - great. 6 weeks ago, I doubt anyone thought that because he was hitting .099/.175/.296 with a wRC+ of 20 after a terrible 2022. I fully appreciate he's killing the ball now, but I'm still not convinced he's much of a prospect, just as I still don't view Adam Kloffenstein as much of a prospect despite his new success in AA. I still believe there's a very small chance that Orelvis becomes the starting 3rd baseman for the Blue Jays (or another team) for multiple seasons. Obviously I hope I'm wrong. Let's move on FFS.
  20. Varsho looked close tonight. I think the breakout is coming!
  21. OK you win Term. He's a great prospect. Those 650 PA's of terrible production should be ignored now because he was young. He's back as the next big prospect for the Jays. Can't wait to buy the jersey.
  22. What is your infatuation with me? It's f***ing gross man. Notice how everyone else is now sick of you too? Figure it out you f***tard.
  23. Dirty move posting this without a video Spank!
  24. 10 games out of 1st place in the AL East or 10 games out of the WC spot? Surely to god we don't need to be 10 games out of a WC spot to start selling...I fully agree with the suggestion we sell KK regardless, if we can add a solid LFer with some years of control.
