  1. I think there is tax. I bought 12 and tipped so I lost track. Over 40K sold now
  2. I'm at the game tonight. First game of the year for me Manoah has sucked the life out of the dome already. 35,000+ loonie dogs sold already though.
  3. Cody Bellinger is having a f***ing great bounce back year. That's good for baseball. Cubs should get a haul for him.
  4. And I forgot to include Termarr Johnson and of course Paul Skenes who may both arrive in the next 2-3 years.
  5. I'm told that Walker is a 3rd baseman (something we need) and he's been historically bad playing RF simply because he's playing out of position. I have no idea if that's true or not.
  6. are you sure that isn't last year's version? Or perhaps you're looking at the list of players whos value has dropped the most over the past 12 months? Perhaps Atkins can use this list to trade Kirk for Jordan Walker...
  7. Endy Rodriguez has been awful at AAA this year. He came into the season with as much helium as anyone in baseball IMO. Pirates have been very aggressive with their call ups, as Nick Gonzales wasn't really hitting in AAA either. Davis Rodriguez Gonzales Cruz Reynolds Suwinski Hayes Keller That's a nice little core the Pirates are building. I'm always rooting for the Pirates to be good. Looks like it's just about time to take my boys to Pittsburgh to catch a game or 2 in that beautiful stadium.
  8. It would be incredible to see Ohtani traded. I really want to see what the haul would be in return.
  9. Obviously pitcher with the 28th highest WAR in baseball is a 4/5 pitcher. Try to keep up please. He's only as good as scrubs like Ohtani, Nola, Castillo and McClanahan.
  10. I wonder how many hand shake deals they need to make before the actual draft. Like if they had a handshake deal with Juaron Watts-Brown for say $75K below slot and were going to use that to sign Landen Maroudis over slot...what happens if Juaron Watts-Brown gets drafted before your pick? What if Landen Maroudis is drafted before your pick? Would they have had a couple other hand shake deals in place for HS kids to draft over slot if Landen Maroudis wasn't available? I find this kind of stuff fascinating.
  11. That's all fair Metafour. But oddly enough, I think drafting is the primary "knock" on Atkins so far and as you say - it may not actually be that bad - we may just have the blinders on.
  12. I still find it odd that more contracts aren't frontloaded like Arenado's.
  13. That's true for some. I hope you find what you want one day.
  14. um, no. I don't really care who likes me because I'm not 12 anymore.
  15. For sure - Atkins' drafting hasn't been very good. It's a concern. Luckily - he seems to be good at identifying and trading prospects before their values collapse.
  16. But can he scoop it well at 1st?
  17. He's traded for Chapman, Teo, Espinal, Merrifield, Richards/Francis, Matz, Ray, Berrios, etc. while hardly giving up anyone of relevance in return. But he should hang for giving up Frasso. Oddly enough, we should probably be more pissed that he gave up Noda in the Stripling deal.
  18. Of course scooping/picking is a skill. What part of "competent defensive 1B are not scarce" didn't you understand?
  19. Cards have been so disappointing this year. O'Neill and Burleson have been awful. Nootbar and Carlson have been just a hair above league average with the bat. Gorman cooled off. Walker can hit, but can't field at all. Wainwright looks like he should have hung them up with Pujols and Yadi. They should definitely sell high on Montgomery and Matz. Not sure what hitters they will move, if any, outside of DeJong. Would they move Yepez?
  20. It's hilarious you took the time to craft this post up to rip the GM and chose RISP as the metric to base your argument on. This is as bad as Varsho v. high fastballs. Swing and a miss.
  21. He was a case study on why moving Moreno when we could was certainly an option...catchers often take time to develop.
  22. Also, nice of the Guardians to gift wrap Junior Caminero to TB. Ouch.
  23. 51. Nick Frasso, RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers Oh boy - here we go.
