    Help me understand then - perhaps over DM. I'm honestly not sure how I injected my own personal beliefs into this. I fully understand there are LOTS of religious baseball players. What Bass did provide support to those who aren't accepting of other groups/views - citing his religion. I'm curious what % of Christians share that view and also do not show acceptance to other groups. I didn't think it was a large %, but I could be wrong. This shouldn't' be that difficult to grasp.

    The other "seemingly" decent options would have been Alek Thomas (wRC+ 55, -0.2 WAR) and Dylan Carlson (wRC+ 74, -0.1 WAR). I guess some might float Nootbar out there, but he's also cooled off and his power has evaporated (which is minor league numbers suggested could happen).

    Isn't that why we traded for Varsho? I'm pretty sure he's the middle linebacker for the Argos too.

    Then that's Acuna in a landslide IMO. Punching a ton of singles with awful baserunning and defense isn't MVP material.

    Jesus - I have to expect there aren't many starters in baseball who navigate through a lineup like that - with little to no difference between the 1st and 3rd time through. I guess having 17 pitches to choose from helps?

    I see this at U8 AA baseball every game. We have lots of kids who can hit, but so many of them are useless on the bases. The kids with wheels and baseball IQ score twice as much as the others. I'm glad to see that never really changes. And yes it's alarming to see how many 8 year old kids can't f***ing run, which seems like a basic skill at that age.

    Oh - so there was virtually nothing that suggesting running Bassitt out there for the 9th was a good idea. Got it. I wonder if people suppress their desire for old school nostalgia long enough to absorb that. Probably not.

    Remember when we were talking about trading a catcher for Corbin Carrol? hahahahahaha 149 wRC+ and the 8th best WAR for a positional player in baseball. He belongs in the conversation as one of the new faces of baseball.

    Did Pompey get into the lab and try to resurrect his career? (I honestly don't know the answer to that). One guys I coach with a U8 AA is a cop in Toronto and he said Pompey just got hired on as a police officer (maybe in Mississauga or Hamilton? I forget). Anyway, they have a police baseball team that's going to the US to play in a tournament and Pompey is going to go play for them.

    Frasso at 69 - just f***ing the Jays. Que the outrage! Fire Atkins. How does O'Hoppe stay on this list? He finished up 2022 in the bigs and has been in the majors all year.
