    Former Los Angeles Times writer, Mike DiGiovanna reported on “Halo Territory” that sources have told him Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder) is “gonna be out for several months, if not the whole season.” DiGiovanna covered the Angels for decades when he was working with The Times, so it would make sense for him to still have sources connected to the organization. A multiple-month absence for shoulder inflammation is also not an unrealistic outcome, so much of this makes sense. The Angels have not yet confirmed any timeline for Kikuchi, but if he were to miss an extended period of time, Caden Dana would figure to get a chance to stick in the rotation until Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) or Alek Manoah (finger) make their season debut.

    Schneider doesn't hit anyone well right now and historically has hiy righties a bit better than lefties. We'd still have Sosa and Straw on the bench from the right side (even if they kinda suck too).

    The Detroit Free Press’ Evan Petzold reports that Tarik Skubal will undergo surgery to remove loose bodies in his elbow. So much for him being scratched from his start for precautionary reasons. As of now, there is no set timeline for Skubal’s absence, but Edwin Diaz is being sidelined for three months after undergoing the same surgery. That means we could expect Skubal back in August as a best-case scenario. That’s a brutal blow for the Tigers and fantasy managers, and, potentially, Skubal’s free agent market. Sawyer Gipson-Long could be called up to take his place in the starting rotation. That's not good!

    I always have a lot of respect for the organizations that find a way to compete with little to no payroll. Hard not to root for the underdogs.

    Heiny is a backup. He gets exposed when he's used too much. At least Valenzuela frames and throws well. Anything we get from him offensively is gravy. We've gotten some gravy lately - it's been really nice.

    Great to see him grinding it out today. Twins got to him early, but he kept pitching and gave us 7 strong. I have no idea if this is true, but it feels like in the past Cease was the type of guy who when you got to him early, he'd struggle to find it and would end up throwing 100 pitches in 4 2/3's or something. Nice to see him stay aggressive, trust his stuff, find a groove and give us 7.

    Unfortunately Barrett and Scottie are miscast as iso 4th quarter scorers. The Raps got Ingram to do that. IQ is also able to get his own shot off. Barrett and Scottie really stepped up tonight and some how managed to pull that off. Improbable, but it happened. That will be considered an all-time win for the Raps. Not like Top 3 or anything, but something Raps fans will remember for a long time. An iconic shot we'll see flashbacks to for a long time. That ball seemingly hit the roof. What an insanely odd shot to force Game 7. Win or lose, it been a big step forward for the Raps. CMB looks incredible and Walter is really playing well. Raps continue to draft well. Even Shead is a legit rotation player (even if he can't shoot). Fun stuff!

    He's been pretty good the last 2 seasons. Old as dirt, but he seems crafty enough to play a role as a 5th starter. I'm surprised he only got $1M and Bassitt got what? $15M? They aren't overly different the past 2 seasons. No idea how long he'll keep it up, but he's helped stabilize the rotation so far.

    I have no idea, but I wonder if he has trouble sustaining his stuff deeper in games? Maybe just being overly cautious too. He needs to cut the walks, but so far so good with the results.
