  1. Taiwan players crying after the win - it means so much to them. and 2 walk off home runs today? How fun is this!!!
  2. I watched it in a bar with a bunch of people today! They were hockey parents and we were killing an hour before the game started, but it was great. Guys were asking questions about the Canadian team at least.
  3. The Craig Carton Show (@thecraigcartonshow) • Instagram reel WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 2,879 likes, 142 comments - thecraigcartonshow on February 17, 2026: "THE PHILLIES SIGNED AN 11 YEAR... Maybe this was already posted and I missed it, but how the heck is this allowed?
  4. For the love of god, please stop.
  5. I tend to agree with this. Obviously from a fans perspective, it gave us hope again. It re-invigorated the fan base and birthed a new generation of young fans. I suspect Rogers always knew this was possible, but to their credit, they took advantage of the 2015/16 success to generate momentum and elevate the franchise.
  6. Sounds good to me. No risk. He was good in 2024. Velo is dropping though so it's unlikely he'll return to that form.
  7. There is some bad luck involved. Murphy injury really hurt them.
  8. Have no fear - AA is known for building depth on his teams... I like AA and I like the Braves. They're lucky they won in '21 because the dynasty AA took over doesn't look so hot these days. These things happen.
  9. Profar suspended 162 games for PED use. Yikes.
  10. You have a unique sense of humor Olerud.
  11. And here I thought the Jimenez MVP and Boss Berrios predictions were too bold...
  12. Jim is the high authority of the board? I guess it's true - you learn something new everyday...
  13. Pirates should try and lock up Griffin now.
  14. I'm sure anything above $15M would be life changing for him an his family.
  15. I mean - the "judge" sided with the Jays, so it's Lauer who's overvaluing himself. The Jays did the right thing. Ross ain't no beta b*tch.
  16. https://www.threads.com/@bananaball/post/DVSKDpfDQ4C?xmt=AQF0e8NWcQ_UaDO4UJLrG2LGt-JPF4KsF_6b-NGFczkUdHQGvsg1qIlxjEzjJWq0GOGKwxoY&slof=1 Nice to see JBJ find a home. Fun stuff.
  17. Why are we still talking about Lauer and his trade demands? Unreal. What's next, Nathan Lukes wants a trade because he isn't a full time starter and #2 hitter?
  18. I don't think that's true. People laughed at the notion of Lauer requesting a trade. Lauer is a f*cking nobody who will do what he's told to do. From Lauer's perspective - I get it. You worked hard to go overseas, refine your game and you came back and had some good success at the ML level again. I'm sure he's desperate to put himself in a position to make some real $$$ because he hasn't so far in his ML career. I suspect he'd happily go to the White Sox or Rockies right now to get the opportunity for 32 starts - given he's a FA next year. He's certainly trying to put himself in a position to land a $20M - $30M deal in the offseason. BUT - he just doesn't command that kind of leverage. The Jays gave him a chance and he needs to respect the contract he signed. He has a role on this team to fill. I have no issue with him going to the FO and pleading that he'd like to go somewhere he can start, but unless the FO is feeling SUPER generous, I'm pretty sure they will tell him they need him and he isn't going anywhere. He'll do what's asked of him. If he doesn't - the league will know and that will kill his reputation. He's a f*cking swing man - know your role son.
  19. Good observation. It would be neat to see if that was the reason.
  20. I appreciate the effort Term. I know you can do better.
  21. Bo was entering his age 23 season in 2021 when Semien was here. We only had Semien for 1 season and had no other viable options who you could project to replace Bo at SS long term. At 23 - there's still potential that he improves defensively. Semien himself was pretty awful defensively at a younger age, but improved with experience. And of course the relationship with the player has an impact - he was a franchise cornerstone guy. Could they have moved Bo to 2nd last year and put Gimenez at SS? Sure, but prior to last year, I'm not sure it made a lot of sense unless you added someone like Lindor. Who know what conversations the team had with Bo, or how he felt about it. It's all super grey.
  22. This isn't as black and white as you think it is. Your ignorance is showing.
  23. C'mon man. June/July was incredible. Just enjoy having a 1st ballot HOF bulldog on the team again. He might be able to use that aching old arm one more time to push the sun back up in the sky and give us one more glorious summer.
  24. Jays are going to bring Trey along slowly as well. I think there will be lots of opportunity early in the year for Berrios to start (which is why he hasn't been moved). 2nd half? That will all depend on his results.
  25. It doesn't worry me much. I'm good with Okamoto and Barger at 3rd, Gimenez and Clement at SS and Clement at 2nd. I'm not sure I want to see Schneider get extended time at 2nd, but I'm sure he can fill in there once a week. Cowles and Kasevich in AAA seems fine to me also. I'm not saying they'll go this route - I think it's a long shot. Eloy would have to force their hand with a massive spring for it to happen IMO.
