  1. So you're going to see him over talking with some old teammate, handshakes and hugs and conclude that means he's exited to see them more than anything? That could be, you know, just a professional thing to do before he locks into his game mode and wants to crush their soles. If you find pictures of him out at restaurants/bars with a ton of Twins players after each game - then yes, but I highly doubt that happens.
  2. He was good in September (and pretty good the entire 2nd half) 25 IP 3.71 xFIP 1.44 BB/9 10.8 K/9 Needs to avoid giving up the longball though.
  3. I think that's exactly how most saw it playing out...no surprises.
  4. You think heading into the Wild Card series that Berrios is pumped to see and hangout with his old teammates "more than anything"? That's dumb.
  5. Isn't this exactly how probabilities work? They know there's a chance Castillo is s*** on Saturday night, they know there's a chance Romano performed well against the Yankees, etc. When you added all those up - the Jays had a great chance of securing a playoff spot, and that's exactly what happened.
  6. The competition level is just too high these days to put pitchers out there without their top stuff.
  7. Berrios was awesome in September - 2.78 xFIP, 10.8 K/9, 1.71 BB/9 If the Twins are loaded with lefties, I do wonder how much they considered starting Kikucci, who was also great in the 2nd half (ERA was up in September, but everything else looked good). It will be interesting to see if they piggyback Kikucci and let him throw multiple innings out of the pen in one of the games.
  8. I think there was a time in August when Varsho was ahead of LGJ in WAR though. They flip flopped often over the last couple of months I believe.
  9. The best thing is she'll forever be known as a self proclaimed whore.

  11. Speaking of bets - Varsho finished ahead of Gurriel (2.2 v. 2.1). Someone bet on that. Sorry if it was already discussed.
  12. Eric Byrnes | Tommy Lasorda was the true founder @nofilternet 😅 🗣️ #NoFilter #NoFilterNetwork #Dodgers #tommylasorda | Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 4,213 likes, 96 comments - ebyrnes22 on September 28, 2023: "Tommy Lasorda was the true founder @nofilternet 😅 🗣️ #NoFilter #NoFilterNetwork #Dodgers #tommylasorda". Man - this was back when it was certainly worthwhile to listen to post game interviews.
  13. I mean you could also argue we got a little unlucky with some of our 'depth'. - Getting nothing out of Manoah - Ricky T injuries - Zulu can't throw strikes - Zach Thompson and Mitch White should have been decent depth guys, but they weren't That's 4-5 more guys who the team probably expected would be able to give them some starts this year if/when needed. It's not like Atkins went into this season with 0 depth in the minors. He made moves to add depth and we have some arms who are close, but most of them had terrible seasons for one reason or another. Francis and the return of Ryu were successful. Depth is hard to get, which is probably why the Jays targeted a guy like Bassitt over a Kyle Gibson (or maybe Eovaldi). He knew we needed reliability over variability and/or upside.
  14. To be fair, they probably believe the veterans have a better chance of pulling out of the slump and getting the job done in crunch time than the young Schneider does. Babe is 3 for his last 49 and 0 for his last 33 with 20 K's - it certainly seems like the league figured something out. This will be unpopular, but there's a chance the FO is making the right call here.
  15. Of course you'd support Schilling
  16. There are only 47 qualified batters in all of MLB this year with an ISO > .200 sir.
  17. It's just one of many mistakes Schilling has made over the past 10-15 years. He's a douche - although he probably believes that prayers actually cure people and thinks that he is helping? That's my guess. You have to confirm with Wakefield before you start telling people and asking for prayers to save him. You just have to. What a moron.
  18. Just doing my part to help. Schilling admits he didn't know if Tim wanted this to be public knowledge and chose not to confirm with him first because Curt is a Christian, he's seen prayer work, so said he's going to talk about it...Apparently Wakefield's wife is also very sick with pancreatic cancer. Very sad.
  19. That is really sad. What a f***ing piece of s*** Curt Schilling is. I hope he gets AIDS.
  20. I'd like to make a correction. Neris is fantastic at chirping.
  21. "a bundle of sticks" is the shittiest chirp I've ever heard. How do you get mad at someone who's intelligence is that low?
  22. What is your problem? Biggio is a quality bench bat. Utility players typically get 350-500 PAs a season depending on injuries and Biggio fills that role nicely. After a horrible start to the year, he's hit and played well and contributed to the team. End of story. 117 wRC+ from May 17th to Sept 27th - and he doesn't have huge platoon splits at all.
  23. It would be terrible for their egos and feelings, which is probably more important than results (says the union).
  24. Man did Miggy ever fall off a cliff after 2014 (age 33). Didn't he have a lot of plantar fasciitis issues or something?
