Aaron Judge did not hit on the field on Monday, as he was scheduled to do.
So far the Yankees have said Judge was removed from a game after a pre-arranged two at-bats. That was not true. They have said Judge would hit on the field on Saturday, which he didn’t do. They then said he would hit on the field on Monday, which he did not do. Judge has been swinging off a tee and was doing outfield drills early on Monday, so he’s still preparing for the start of the season, but the lack of a clear timeline for his return and the vague responses from the Yankees are beginning to get a bit troubling for a player who has dealt with injuries in the past. Considering the team had already said Judge would have to manage his toe injury all season, the risks are beginning to mount for Judge if you’re planning to take him in the early part of the first round of fantasy drafts.
