We've done: - Pittsburgh/Cincy/Cleveland (ball game and round in each City) - Washington/Philly/Baltimore (ball game and round in each City) - PEI - Tree Top Resorts (Gaylord Michigan) - Royal Ashburn (Ontario) - Various courses in Muskoka (Ontario) - Seguin Valley G&CC (Ontario) We starting to branch out and want to travel a bit more while we're still young and able. On our list is: - Cabot Cliffs/Trails (Nova Scotia) - LV / St. George - Scottsdale (AZ) - St. Andrews / Carnoustie (Scotland) - thinking of doing this for our 50th birthday (still a few years away!) Love hearing ideas and experiences from others!

    He's at camp. There was a discussion on his "stuff" this spring already. Someone thought he may have added a cut fastball, while someone else thought maybe it was just a poorly thrown slider. Riveting stuff.

    How incredible would it be to see Votto have a dead cat bounce season and a real contributor, helping to lead the Jays to the World Series? .260/.360/.500 25 HRs, 130 wRC+ I know the probability of that happening is super low, but you have to be romantic about baseball. That would be magical to watch.

    I would disagree with this and certainly wouldn't use it as a reason to believe the reports that Chapman told the Jays he didn't want to sign with them were false. You could speculate all you want that Chapman wouldn't tell the Jays that because he would lose leverage and all that - but you can't exclude the possibility that someone acted as a respectable human - instead of trying to squeeze every dollar possible out of the system. As was noted - things changed. It seems completely plausible that Atkins would touch base with Chapman late in the process to see if his position or mind had changed at all.

    I'm not even sure I understand why he thinks that "NOT micromanaging SP matchups" contributes to outperforming your Pythagorean record.

    It is truly amazing how much change/improvement pitchers are able to achieve in the offseason these days. It's getting a lot harder to conclude that someone is "s***" as you never know what a new training regime, arm slot or lab is going to be able to do with them. It's almost alarming they haven't yet been able to fix Manoah or Pearson - but then again, the team isn't allowed to force them to train with them in the offseason.

    What a f***ing s***** turn of events. I hope the Jays didn't actually turn down legit trade offers for him this offseason. Let's add Domingo German or Michael Lorenzen please. German and Pete Walker can go see Loudermilk at AA meetings together.

    If he gets sent to the minors - do we still owe him $3M? or do we pay him a prorated amount - only for the days he's in the big leagues?

    100% it looks like balls ripped down the line (while hooking) will end up in the jut out area in kind of no-mans land. LF, SS and 3rd may all have to chase balls in that area.
