    So you think the plan is to only spend 26-28m TOTAL in moves between now and start of season AND at the trade deadline. If that’s the case, I don’t see a path to a championship season. I think they go into the next tax tier again.

    MLB trade rumors estimated 4/40 so this shouldn’t be shocking. I was all for that for the jays (as a reliever) Giants will let him try and fail as a sp and then put him back in the pen.

    Yup, more players than holes. Buyers market for dh. Position can be important of course. I recall winning World Series w Winfield And molitor. Any guesses, Without looking , at their WAR in 92/93. I haven’t looked yet but I’m gonna guess it’s lower than it should be

    Dh types prob worth about 12-14m but asking for 18 and holding up signings. Gimme any of turner/joc/jdm/hoskins. If Orelvis is best as dh in mlb, we prob just look for one year patch or trade him

    I’m there with you. I agree it’s not time to freak out yet. I think a trade will bring in 2 players and we’ll sign one of the Dh types. If that could all happen like today, I’d love that but that’s baseball free agency. I’d love it if free agency didn’t start immediately after the WS. After Xmas Would work for me as it is draining.
