    Kenny is the man. His top ten 1bman not in hall had Delgado at 7. Costas had him at 7 as well If I was told tomorrow that the HOF changed their mind and they are letting Delgado, Will Clark and berkman in, I wouldn’t be outraged.

    That would save something like 40m (quick eyeball). Aaa shuttle is nice over a long season but don’t see it happening as bullpen is currently constructed. Always sorts itself out though

    I’m saying I wouldn’t stake my job on them. As in, i wouldn’t sit pat if money is there and pass on acquiring more talent simply because the projections say to expect much better performance than you are currently getting. Like last season (if money was there, I don’t know if it was) Last year: 1st “half” vs 2nd “half” rc+ and projected 2024 rc+ Vlad 118/117. 139 Springer 109/97. 113 We waited all season for them to break out as the projections said they would. But they didn’t . On the positive side, some did: Kirk 77/118. 116 Varsho 77/97 106 Bo , 1st half, was probably overachieving a bit , but maybe not 132/109 123 Hopefully all of vlad, springer, varsho and kirk play up to potential this year and stay healthy. If they do, run scoring isn’t going to be an issue.

    Tread lightly. It is well know that the jays don’t need to free up salary (like passing on green) to sign who they want.

    It’s 4 bats, 5 if you include IKF as well as no one else having a worse season and staying as healthy as last year. That is a lot of faith. How do we handle Jansen as an expiring contract? Do we ride him with more DH opportunities? get some reps in LF? Doesn’t appear so. I hope he is extended before free agency. I don’t think Turner can handle 3b, but if he could vs some righties, I would plop him there and then Dh Horwitz or Jansen. Gotta like the RC+ gained from replacing IKF for one of those 2. Of course 3b defense would suffer immensely until Turner lifted for IKF in 8th or 9th inning.

    Turner can back up 1b though. As can biggio. I’d think Horwitz would start at aaa at this point

    I figured 40m to spend in off-season after Green contract sorted out. We are right there now. We have an extra infielder and could use another outfielder so hopefully a trade will happen. Before offseason, I was hoping Mil would sell off Adames but doesn’t appear so which is good for MIL fans after a good season last year . Barriera , Horwitz and espinal lines up on BYV and would have added 9m to our payroll (saved them 9).
