  1. Replacing Reyes with below replacement Goins is the definition of crazy. It's a thought no sane person would have.
  2. When the time comes there is a better option at SS than Jose Reyes than that is a legitimate concern. Right now there is no other player in this organization that can play that position better when you factor in all phases of the game. It's not close actually even with the defensive woes.
  3. It is reality. Sure, Goins is a better fielder (better mechanics/more accurate arm) but even a declining Jose Reyes is still A LOT better at every other aspect of the game. You would have to be crazy to replace him with Goins.
  4. Reyes is s*** now but his overall skill set at SS is still better than anyone else the Jays have in this organization.
  5. Farrell feeling the pressure in Boston. Could get canned this year. Wouldn't it be something, Farrell wins a world series and could get fired before Gibbons whose teams have not come close to even sniffing a wild card birth in his 3 years.
  6. Josh Donaldson is just on an entire different caliber than the rest of the Blue Jays roster. He is so f***ing awesome. Someone needs to swap Dickey's and Donaldsons name on their lockers. I wish there was a proper face shot of Brook Jacoby in the dugout on that blast. HerpDerp would have had a new avatar.
  7. I don't agree with that at all. 1 run game records are usually a sign of a great or bad bullpen. IMO luck has very little to do with it.
  8. Bullpen Clutch Hitting/RISP/High Leverage Manager In that order
  9. Once you tie it in with a record it is easy to understand. Top 5 positive run differential and last in the division = not winning close ball games especially 1 run games. On the contrary if you look at teams with negative run differentials or closer to neutral and are winning the division or fighting for wildcard = winning close ball games and 1 run games.

Food for thought on Babcock. I totally agree with this writer. http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/good-luck-with-the-maple-leafs-mike-babcock-youre-going-to-need-it/

Do you even know what misinformed means because please tell me what information I provided was incorrect. You are dumber than a rock.

They hired some guy from Brock University for analytics but other than that Shanahan and company are unproven at this point. What is scary and I don't know how much influence guys like Babcock have on farms systems and player development but the leafs have a history of not being able to develop their own players which will be crucial for this rebuild. The Red Wings and Anaheim had superb front offices during his stays.

If you look at Babcocks resume it is very impressive but when you look further into and look at the front offices with the Anaheim and Detroit and the rosters they acquired and developed, same with the National Team, it wasn't very hard to win. When he took over Detroit there were 5 hall of fame players and two #1 goalies on the roster. Same with the Canadian National Team, not very difficult to win with that roster. IMO Babcock is fools gold and I don't think his success which coincidentally coached teams with two of the best front offices in hockey is going to translate well in Toronto.
  14. Pete Walker has been the Blue Jays coach to the worst bullpen in the league and the worst starting pitching in the league. The next course of action is to promote him to manager so he coach the team to the worst record in the league for the trifecta.
  15. I thought Pete Walker just said his knuckler has been amazing in the side sessions....lol.
  16. They had him retiring after 2015 in my season. I hope we should be this lucky.
  17. Ricky Romero Jr. is pitching for the Red Sox today. Expect the brooms to come out.
  18. It's equivalent to having the best defense in football with the worst QB in the NFL.
  19. So this Pete Walker guy? Has their ever been a positional coach that had the worst bullpen in the league, been promoted and taken a starting pitching staff to the bottom of MLB?
  20. Yeah. Martin surely isn't improving the pitching staff with all these intangibles we were hyped about - dat litreship, game calling. His framing and blocking has been very disappointing as well.
  21. Looks like Pittsburgh isn't missing a beat without Russell Martin. Can't believe how good the Yankees pitching has been as of late.
  22. The year we have Russel Martin behind the plate, we end up having the worst pitching in baseball. That sucks.
  23. Great job Saunders! Buckhholz is the new Ricky Romero.
